"Hey, where's Emily? Her and Gerard were just here a second ago..." Pete said.
"Great question... And she's on with Panic! in a minute or two again," I said. "I'll go find her!"
"Hurry back, baby!" he said as I started to run off.

I smiled as I turned and jogged down one of the hallways. Emily and Gerard couldn't have gotten far, could they? And holy hell. What are they doing that they had to get so far from all of us for? Cue daddy anxiety now!
I continued running down hall after hall. It had already been a good few minutes, but I was so thankful that Brendon was very talkative tonight! I could still hear him talking into the mic and the crowd going crazy. Either they're all really loud or this building isn't very soundproof...
I finally ran down a hall I hadn't seen before. It was off of the hall with our dressing rooms, but I hadn't gone down there to look at all, because well, what was the point? As I rounded the next corner... I definitely saw something no father really ever wants to see.

"Emily Mae Stump!" I stated as I stopped in my tracks.
"Shit!" she shouted as she almost fell out of Gerard's arms. "Dad!"
"What on earth are you two doing? You just started fucking dating and you're already sucking each others face like there's no tomorrow! And Emily! You're supposed to be onstage with Brendon and all of them right now! You're so lucky Brendon is talking the crowds ear off right now! If he wasn't, then he'd be singing Casual Affair by himself! If you're going to do this tour and have a boyfriend, you'd better be putting a hundred and ten percent into your singing. Boyfriends are for after shows and things like that, not during them and keeping you from what you're supposed to be doing. Got it?" I explained.
"Jesus, yeah," she said as she rolled her eyes.
"Watch the attitude," I said. "We all invited you on this tour and all of us could easily tell that you wanted to be here. You'd better start acting like it."
"I got it!" she said, raising her voice a little.
"You, Pete, and I are going to have a talk when we get back on the bus tonight," I said.
"Can't fucking wait," she said quietly, but still loud enough for me to hear.
"Hey," I said as I stated at her. "Now lets go. You've got a show to perform!"
"I'm already walking," Emily said.
"Watch it," I said.
"Ugh," she grumbled as she passed me and walked down the hall.

I waited until I knew she was gone before I turned to Gerard, practically pinning him to the wall. When I'm upset, honestly, watch out.

"You'd better watch yourself. You are not Emily's life. She has other things she has to do, especially now. You of all people should know how important these shows are. I know you two like each other and shit, but keep your whole lovey dovey shit to a minimum. Not everyone needs to see that happening every two seconds, ok?" I said.
"G-Got it," Gerard said as he just stated at me.
"Pete and I will be watching you, so don't fuck anything up," I said as I slightly pushed him and the walked away.

As I walked away, I looked back and Gerard was a good fifteen feet behind me, still staring at me in disbelief. Yes, I, Patrick Stump, can get mean when needed.
