Well, after we all went through everything with Charlie and the rest of the people, it was finally time for Josh and I to rehearse, along with Emily for Forest. I called Josh onto the stage as Pete and Emily walked back by all of us.

"Hey guys!" I said as I waved.

"Go on," I heard Pete say as he inched Emily towards me.

"Come here!" I said to Emily.

"I'm coming, I'm coming!" she said as she ran to me and Josh.

"Ok, so we're going to play Semi-Automatic, House of Gold, Addict with a Pen, Forest, and to finish, Holding on to You," I explained. "What Josh and I were thinking is that we'd conclude Addict with a Pen and then start the playing the intro to Forest. What we want you to do is sing the 'ohhh ahh ohhh' part, but you're still going to be backstage. They audience will obviously still be able to hear your voice, but they won't see you yet. Then, once I start singing 'I don't know why I feed on emotion. There's a stomach inside my brain. I don't wanna be heard, I wanna be listened to' part, you'll make your way onstage and then start singing 'does it bother anyone else that someone else has your name, your name?' ok?"

"Sounds good," she said as she smiled.

"Good," I said as I smiled. "Then after that, I'll sing the 'I scream, you scream, we all scream' part, along with the rest of it, then at the chorus, you'll come in and you and I will both sing it. Then we want you to sing the second verse and then I'll sing the 'I scream' part again, then both of us with the chorus again. The obviously, I'll sing the really fast part, then you and I for the chorus again. Sound good?"

"Wow," she said. "That's a lot to comprehend, but I think I got it."

"I know, sorry!" I said as I chuckled. "Anyway, so you and everyone else can wait backstage while Josh and I rock it out!"

"Lets do this thing!" Josh said as he crawled behind his drumset.

"Oh! And after the second 'I scream' part, we're all going to pause for a good twenty seconds before the song kicks up again. It's just that little thing I like to throw in there," I said as I chuckled.

"Gotcha," Emily said as she smiled.

I smiled as everyone walked backstage more and then I gladly took my place by my mic. Josh started up Semi-Automatic and we gladly went through that song in no time. Same with House of Gold, which almost everyone backstage sang along with. We got through Addict with a Pen quickly too. Now it's time for Forest with Emily.

"Are you ready, Em?" I asked into the mic and I faced everyone backstage.

She nodded at me and then the music kicked in and I turned back around and danced around.

"Ohh ahh ohhh," Emily sang from backstage.

I couldn't help but smile when I heard her start singing. She really does have an amazing voice!

"Ohh ahh ohhh," she sang again.

"I don't know why I feed on emotion. There's a stomach inside my brain. I don't want to be heard. I want to be listened to," I sang.

"Does it bother anyone else that someone else has your name?" Emily sang as she appeared beside me. "Does it bother anyone else that someone else has your name, your name?

"I scream, you scream, we all scream 'cause we're terrified of what's around the corner! We stay in place 'cause we don't want to lose our lives! So lets think of something better!" I sang as I danced around again.

As Emily and I sang the chorus, she started to get into it too and dance around. She honestly looked like she was meant to be up onstage performing. This is where I feel like she's meant to be.

"My brain has given up. White flags are hoisted. I took some food for thought, it might be poisoned. The stomach in my brain throws up on to the page. Does it bother anyone else that someone else has your name?" Emily sang, belting out the ending long note perfectly.

"I scream, you scream, we all scream 'cause we're terrified of what's around the corner! We stay in place 'cause we don't want to lose our lives! So lets think of something better!" I sang.

After that, Emily, Josh, and I paused with our heads down for a good twenty seconds, like I explained we would before the song kicked up again.

"Down in the forest, we'll sing a chorus. One that everybody knows. Hands held higher, we'll be on fire. Singing songs that nobody wrote," Emily and I sang.

As the music built up to the part that was really fast with me singing, I started dance/running around and basically acting like an idiot. Emily even started to do it too. She was owning the stage!

"Quickly moving towards a storm. Moving forward, torn into pieces over reasons of what these storms are for. I don't understand why everything I adore takes a different form when I squint my eyes. Have you ever done that, when you squint your eyes and your eyelashes make it look a little not right? And then when just enough light comes from just the right side and you find you're not who you're suppose to be? This is not what you're suppose to see. Please, remember me? I am suppose to be king of a kingdom or swinging on a swing. Something happened to my imagination; this situation's becoming dire. My treehouse is on fire and for some reason I smell gas on my hands. This is not what I had planned! This is not what I had planned!" I sang quickly and Emily was dancing around behind me the entire time.

"Down in the forest, we'll sing a chorus," Emily sang.

"Hands held higher, we'll be on fire. Singing songs that nobody wrote!" I screamed towards the end.

"Down in the forest, we'll sing a chorus. One that everybody knows. Hands held higher, we'll be on fire. Singing songs that nobody wrote," we both sang.

"Hands held higher," Emily sang. "We'll be on fire."

"Hands held higher," I sang. "We'll be on fire."

Emily and I both apparently had the same idea when the song ended because we both lowered our arms and basically just stood there with our heads down.

"Yeah!" I screamed as I ran over to Emily and engulfed her in a hug, spinning her around. "You did such a good job!"

"Aw thanks," she said as she laughed.

"You're so natural onstage!" I said.

"Really?" she asked.

"Yes!" I said. "God, you did great!"

After her and I talked for another minute, Josh came down and hugged the both of us, along with everyone else. God, this is going to be a great show!
