VOL. I::Chapter 2--Kurosaki Ichigo

Thanks for taking the time to read this, because I enjoyed writing it. Again, it would be schway if you commented, voted, and just generally praised the awesomeness of that what is me.

SORRY! Minor big mistake, among all of the other little ones. Somewhere I mixed up Hinata and Ino! But I updated. Sometimes I just can't keep track of all those Konoha kids!

CHAPTER 2--Kurosaki Ichigo

"Well?!" Renji yelled.

"To start," the blonde woman in charge said, "I am the Fifth Hokage, Lady Tsunade." She waited for us to be impressed. "I am the leader of this town, the one in charge, one of the legendary Sanin. You are in the Leaf Village, of the Land of Fire."

"I am Hitsugaya Toshiro, Captain of the 10th Division of the Gotei 13 of the Soul Society." He held out his hand, and the annoying kid snickered, mumbling, "4 foot... Captain..." Toshiro looked at him with such a fierce look that he hid behind the pink haired girl, and the cup of water on the Hokage's desk froze.

She looked at all of us suspiciously, then bent down discreetly and strongly shook Toshiro's hand. He folded his hands formally behind his back. "This is my lieutenant, Matsumoto Rangiku." Rangiku bowed quickly and shook the Hokage's hand. "This is Abarai Renji, lieutenant of 6th Division." Renji bowed and shook hands too. "Ishida Uryuu, Yasutora Sado, or just Chad, Kuchiki Rukia Lieutenant of the 13 Division, Inoue Orihime, and-"

"Kurosaki Ichigo, Substitute Soul Reaper." I thrust out my hand and shook hers. She looked into my eyes, and I couldn't quite put a finger on the kind of look, but I knew she was in charge.

"You REAP SOULS?!" The annoying one exclaimed.

"Shut up! You haven't even introduced yourself!"

I turned and found him staring at me expectantly with his hand out. "Hi! I'm Uzukami Naruto! The future Hokage! Nice to meet ya'!" I took his hand and looked at him. He had spiky, bright blond hair and blue eyes. He seemed like a happy-go-lucky kid, and he was almost as tall as I was. He also looked my age. They all did.

He pointed to various people and they nodded or waved. "That's Sukura, Choji, Kakashi-Sensei, Sai, Ino, Shikamaru (he's kinda lazy), that's Hinata, Kiba, Shino, and-" A few more people walked in.

"Hey Team Guy! That's Guy-Sensei, Lee, Neji, and Tenten-"

"Ah, Team Guy is finally here. Kakashi, Guy, Yamato, Shikimaru, Neji you all stay, the rest, exit, now. We have some pressing matters to discuss. They all left, the shades were sealed and the door was closed. Then guards were posted. No escape for us.

Then things got very different. The light tone disappeared in a flash.

"Neji-"

"Already on it." He did something with his hands and he said, "Byakugan!" The veins around his eyes stood out. He focused on all of us in turn for a long time, and I got the creepy feeling he could see me, in a very creepy way.

He gasped. "Their chakra... is... different. I don't even know if they have chakra! They- they don't have chakra networks! But they have very strong sources of power inside of them." He analyzed some more. "The four in the robes are not human, they're more like ghosts. The boy with the orange hair seems to be able to jump from his body, and his inner power is extremely strong. But he is human." Another pause. "The tall darker one, the boy with glasses, the girl, they are all mostly normal humans with some larger power reserves. But not one of them are... normal. As in, not from this world."

"All right, how did you get here? Who are you?" She interrogated.

"We told you, we know not how we came here. And we also told you we mean no harm. We're soul reapers and company." Toshiro said calmly.

"What exactly are soul reapers? Some type of demonic cult?"

"No, of course not. We guard the souls of the dead and make sure they have safe passage to the soul society. Along with that, our main job is fight and defeat hollows. Those are the demons of sorts. They eat souls."

She demanded that we tell her everything about soul reapers. In turn,she told us all about her world.

"What about Japan and the United States? China? Africa?" Uryuu asked.

"Never heard of such places in all of my travels."

"Then we truly are in a different world." Toshiro sighed.

"What happened before you came here?"

"It's kind of fuzzy, that's... strange," Chad said.

"I remember being at Urahara shop, with all of you-" Uryuu said. .

"Yes, I was there, I remember being sent to the human world to investigate something Urahara had made for Captain Kurotsuchi-" Toshiro confirmed.

"I wanted to go shopping so I tagged along, and brought Renji," Rangiku chimed in.

"A gate, we were sucked into a different senkaimon," Orihime whispered.

"A different dimension..." I said.

"And you don't know how to get back, so your stay is indefinite?" The Hokage asked.

"Well, temporarily, yes." Toshiro said.

The Hokage sighed. She paced for a minute, then sat down and thought for another. "Okay, you'll have to stay here. And you'll have to blend in to the best of your abilities, despite your different abilities." She thought for another moment.

"Okay, some of you will have to take normal jobs in town, and some of you will have to either lead a civilian's life for a while or give us much needed assistance in the mission department." She chewed her thumb. "Okay, I have three clerk jobs open, one here doing paperwork, and the rest are on the Teams, helping with missions."

"I'll be a clerk," Orihime said.

"How about something in the clothing department?" Rangiku offered.

"I can... be a clerk." The Hokage smiled at Chad. He was more of a gentle giant.

"Paperwork will be fine," Rukia said.

"So that leaves Ichigo, Renji, Uryuu, and, uh, Captain Hitsugaya." She analyzed him for a long time. "Captain Hitsugaya, I don't know if you would fit on a team, but we can try you out on... Team Guy."

"Welcome aboard, son!" Said thee man I assumed to be Guy-Sensei. He wore a green jumpsuit and a green vest. And he had the oddest bowl-cut hair style with a large nose and huge eyebrows. Toshio scowled.

"Uryuu, I'll assign you to Kurenai's Team with Kiba, Hinata, and Shino. Renji-"

"Actually, I'd just like to work with Chad,"

"How lazy-" I started.

"What did you say?"

"I said it was lazy, you ass!"

"More like my foot in your ass!"

"Renji! Wish granted, you'll be working with Chad."

"What about me?" I asked.

"You will be with Team Kakashi you can fill in for Sai, he needs some time off and his arm is still healing. Sukura!" She waited a while, then called again. "I know you're out there, come in," After a few minutes, a pink head shyly popped in. "Y-yes, Lady Tsunade?"

"I need you to show them all around town, see if they can't change clothes or something, and show Orihime, Chad, Rangiku, and Renji to those open spots down at the Hurano flower shop and the stores. Shizume, show Rukia what needs to be done. Guy, Kakashi, Kurenai, show Ichigo, Uryuu, and Toshiro around and get them accustomed to life here as well as you can. Dismissed." We all waited for a second, then began to leave.

"Oh, Kakashi." He came over as everyone was leaving and she whispered something into his ear. He nodded and followed. "One more thing, try not to use your normal powers and swords and what not, okay? We want to blend in, get it? Good." We all shuffled out.

Blend in, yeah.
