This one might be a little long. My treat to you guys since I made it through my first day of high school, I guess?

Sometimes Uryuu hated being right.
He had had this sinking feeling that destroying something like that would be bad. And come to find out, instead of getting rid of the cause of Fox's problem, the change in the crystal was so violent that he reacted by turning into "the true-er form of the Nine Tails", as Naruto explained. Great. It seemed like Uryuu's life was just one damn thing after the other. Why did he have to fight when he only wanted to go home? He might even tolerate being at school with all of those dimwitted teenagers for a while if he could just go home.
More hellish howling was heard; it sounded like white noise. Then something slammed into him and gave him a shock at the same time, like an electrified brick wall. It really hurt.
He heard the scratching and growling drift down a tunnel. Darkness pressed down on their senses. "Naruto, are you-?
"Yeah, you?"
"He hit me with something. My arms... They burn. What was that? Explain."
"Same thing happened to Sakura once. When the Nine Tails hits you, it does some kind of damage with it's raw, dangerous chakra,"
"Let me guess, you speak from experience," Naruto was quiet.
"We need to get word to the village. If you don't get treated soon, you'll die." Uryuu stood up and ripped off his sleeve. And that was his only jacket on this journey. He tied the pieces of cloth around both of his forearms.
"Well, lets get going then,"
"Not to burst your bubble, but it's pitch black, I don't have very much chakra or a flashlight, and we don't know which way to go." Naruto whined.
"Dumbass. Here," Suddenly Uryuu's hand was on his back.
"AAAIEEE!" Naruto squealed.
"Calm down!"
"Oh, I'm sorry if I was frightened a bit by that. I mean it was only like the very hand of death-" Naruto started with a hand clutching his chest.
"Apology excepted! Now we don't have any time for this." Uryuu snapped. "Look, I'm going teach you how to see spirit ribbons, if you can,"
"What do you mean 'If I can'-?"
"FOCUS!" He quieted down and closed his eyes. Then focused, really hard.
"Okay, what next?"
"Look, can you see them?"
"The big ribbon floating around you and the fire stuff floating around me?"
"Yeah, that's it. Come on!" Uryuu shouted, his ribbon already disappearing down a tunnel.
"Hey, wait for me!" Naruto launched after him.
"Can you see it?"
"Yeah, a long ribbon, on fire. It looks like it was originally red, but pulsing blue stuff is like, taking over,"
"I know, I saw it," Uryuu said sarcastically.
"So, how do I turn this stuff off?"
"Don't think about it now! Or you WILL shut it off!"
