CHAPTER 14--Uzumaki Naruto

I swung a fist with all my might and clocked him. "You're the reason. You're why I hurt people. You hurt people," I felt myself shaking and my voice cracking, but I didn't care. I was so angry that I couldn't help myself. I felt myself get dangerously close to transforming. Here's the guy, or a form of the guy, that's pure destruction. The guy that caused me so much pain. Caused everyone so much pain.  

He looked utterly surprised for a full minute. Yeah, I knocked you on your ass! Why the hell wouldn't I?  

We were all frozen in stunned and angry silence. Then he had the nerve to get down on one knee. 

"Master, I know I cannot apologize, but I can tell you what I know. In this form of the Nine Tails I've taken for unknown reasons, one part of me wishes only to destroy, and takes more tendency of the Nine Tails. One part is more docile and ready to serve YOU. That's... all..." He rushed.  

So he was just a small, weird form or piece of the Nine Tails with only a small amout of its evil tendencies. He wasn't really even an accurate depiction of the fox. Just FROM the fox, knowing nothing about himself really. And brought on by Kurosaki's presence. So I couldn't really bring myslef to hate him, or take it out on him. 

"Damn it! I'm going back to bed!" 

"Not to pry, but before you go back to sleep could you possibly tell us-" Sai started.  

"WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED?" Sakura yelled.  

"Ah, what she said." He finished.  

I sat down and told them quickly what had just taken place, while it was still fresh in my mind and before Sakura could hit me. 

"Just like Ichigo, but different. Interesting," Kakashi mumbled.  

"Interesting?! This is a freaking nightmare! Look at him! Like this, he'll just follow me around like a puppy!" I said.  

"Oh, I don't think so." He waved it off. I looked at Fox, sitting on his heels next to my mat, loyally, then I looked back at Kakashi. I think he got the message that Fox was doing something puppy-like. "Uh, lets hurry and get some shut eye before we hit the road again. Goodnight everyone!"  

Despite the situation, I was out again within minutes. I guess meeting your evil incarnate is pretty tiring.  

We woke a short time later and got to the last leg of our journey. The thick trees turned into flat endless meadows almost all at once. This time however, it was NOT quiet, and I think you can guess why.  

"Master! Allow me to carry you! Your feet must be tired!" Fox yelled suddenly, scaring me half to death.  

"Uh, no thanks," 

"But Master!" 

"Really, thats okay. And stop calling me master." 

"MASTER- I mean KIT! ALLOW ME TO CARRY YOU! PLEASE!" He was serious about this, and I didn't understand why. He didn't LOOK like one of those kind of OCD spazzes.  

"Damn it, Fox. I said NO!"  

He immediately shut down. "Kit, I have upset you. Please punish me..." he recited solemnly.
