Meanwhile, It was another sunny day in Karakura. Mizuiro sighed as Keigo went on about yet another crazy story or fantasy or conspiracy. Not because of Keigo though, because of something he'd seen lately.

Ichigo, Chad, Uryuu, and Orihime were gone again, and not only were they gone, but so were the hollows. Well, most of them. Only a few wandered around now. That wasn't even the strange thing though.

The sky had been glittering weirdly, like they'd never seen before-- not even when the Arrancars ripped straight through that one time. People with higher spirit energy were easily picked out all over town because you could find them gaping up at the strange sky whenever a new hole opened to the glittering nothingness that seemed to be beyond. And that was a lot.

No one else seemed to notice it, and no harm came out, except for a few TV satellite interruptions, so Mizuiro resigned himself to letting it go for the time being.

"...and there it is, the Karakura Kaiju, rising out of the water to eat the hot, stupid surfer babes-"

"Keigo, I want you to know that I have no idea what you're talking about. I mean, how do you surf on a river? And is the river even big enough to hold a whole kaiju?"

"AHHH MIZUIRO! I KNEW IT! NOT YOU TOO! NO ONE LOVES ME!" he wailed, rolling around dramatically on the ground instead of answering Mizuiro's questions.

Mizuiro sighed. "You'll get dirty if you keep that up..."

Keigo jumped up and tried to tackle Mizuiro. "What? You CARE?! Oh Mizu-" instinctively, and with a pained smile, he deflected Keigo with a kick, then answered, "Yes, Keigo, I do care."

Keigo continued to wail on the ground and Mizuiro contined walking along the riverbank until he saw something. Coming from the sky was... "Ehhhhhhhh?!! Kaiju? Giant monster? Godzilla?!" Keigo cried with wide eyes. It splashed down into the river with a giant thoom and a rainstorm for anyone on the riverbanks, which unfortunately included them. "Oh oh! Sea monster! Mega-Shark! GODZILLA VS. MEGA-SHARK!" He heard Keigo squeal among the confused babble of the people on the streets above them. To them, it was just a random blast of water.

Mizuiro sighed again. They'd been on their way to school, doing their best to keep calm despite their current situation, when a whale falls out of the sky. Well, it couldn't be helped.

At least it fell in water. "Come on Keigo," he called.

"But Mizu-chan! I've figured it out! Godzilla versus our Kaiju!" Keigo whined keeping up with Mizuiro nevertheless. "We're so gonna miiissss it!"

Yup. Just ignore, and beware of falling whales. The Soul Reapers would probably handle something so big. It could only get weirder anyways.

***

Weirder, it did get. Mizuiro was trying to pay attention to Keigo telling him about another theory he had about it raining whales earlier, and also turn down a girl offering him lunch when he was rudely interrupted.

"...s-so Kojima-senpai, will you accept this? I- I made this for you...!" She blushed. "Um! I mean I made extra and I thought that you would like it and.... Here!"

Mizuiro sighed yet again. He had already accepted five that day... Still, he took it with a smile and let Keigo have it before she could see.

"Seriously man, you need to give me some tips! It's everyday with you! You've always got a lunch and I have... no one!" he sulked, chomping on a wiener halfheartedly.

"It's all in the style, Keigo,"

"Are you saying I have no style?! Are you bullying me now, too?!"
