Hiyori's body was laying on the bed beside Yato while her soul was nervously walking from side to side.

"I didn't loose my body in years! This feels so weird. I don't even remember how to get back into my body. "

Yato stood up and stopped Hiyori from walking around by hugging her from behind. He buried his face in her neck, her short soft hair tickling his cheek. Hiyori could feel Yato's breath on her neck and she immediately blushed by the sensation.

"Just relax. Being all nervous will only keep you from getting back into your body. You had a long day at work so you need to rest properly", the god whispered into her ear.

In this exact moment, when Hiyori stopped thinking, her soul returned into her body, causing Yato to fall on the floor, since he had been leaning onto her.

"I see your timing is as great as always", he mumbled, his nose crushed on the ground.

"I'm sorry!"

Now that both were back in the bed, cuddling, Hiyori asked: "So how was your day?"

"It was alright. You had everything prepared so there wasn't anything that could have gone wrong. The little brat's visit was the only negative thing today."

"Rei was here? I hope you behaved Yato!", Hiyori worried.

"Of course I did! ... Yukine reminded me to do so. It seems like he got into a fight at school. He had a bruise under his eye. He said some bullies at school beat him up during the break. I dunno if I should believe that, it does seem a little cliché if you ask me."

"What? Not again. They always mess around with the poor boy. This is really starting to get out of hand, maybe I should have a serious talk with his father. Even though I don't like that man too much. It seems like he doesn't care about his own son at all."

"His father huh?", Yato's thoughts wandered off to the thoughts about his father.

He was still out there and no one knew where he was or what he was up to.

Noticing Yato drifting away, Hiyori snuggled up to him even more, saying: "Anyway, it's time to sleep now. Goodnight, Yato!"

"Goodnight, Hiyori."

Yato had a mission.

Ever since he found out about Rei's black eye, he couldn't stop thinking about it. He had to investigate the matter a little further. There was no way he would believe that it was the result of bullying, without having any proof. Sure, Hiyori thought it were the bullies as well but he had to see it with his own two eyes in order to believe it.

That's why he decided to follow the little boy everywhere for the day.

He started his investigations after Tsuki left for school. Hiding in a trashcan, he followed his daughter and her friend on their way to school.

Thanks to Tsuki wandering off, taking a different route than usual, because she wanted to follow a butterfly that crossed their way, the two friends to arrive late at school.

No wonder she is late all the time. That girl is straying around even more than I am, Yato thought.

Once they arrived at school everything seemed to be perfectly normal. Sitting on a tree in the backyard, Yato had the perfect view into Tsuki's classroom as well as Rei's one next door. He was surprised that the two of them weren't in the same class.
