"Why do you even care what's gonna happen to her? She did so many fucked up things and yet you still worry?", Yukine yelled, feeling his composure fade.

Why was he so angry? He felt like that ever since the incident with Yato's father.

Something wasn't right with him but he didn't know what.

He was always feeling angry and depressed for no reason and he couldn't control himself from time to time.

Yato had only addressed that he was worried about Nora because she helped him that one time and it was too much for Yukine.
If it wasn't for his slowly breaking name, the boy wouldn't have thrown a tantrum like that but because of this little unnoticed detail, he wasn't able to.

"Yukine, listen. Nora and I grew up together and she was my very first Shinki", Yato wanted to explain everything to his raged guidepost.

"So you are saying that she is more important than I am? Alright I get it!"

"That's not what I'm trying to say and you know that! I know that Nora did things that aren't okay and I revoked her name for good reasons! But you don't know my dad. He is merciless and cruel and now that Nora sided with me back there who knows what he is going to do to her. She is just as much of a victim of his abuse as I am. The only difference between the two of us is that she doesn't know that yet. She still believes that everything this bastard does is right. She believes in him. She believes that everything she does is right."

"Don't give me that shit! You regret that you let go of her just admit it!", the young boy raised his voice against his master.

Even though he heard every word Yato was saying and understood them, he wasn't able to control himself.

"Yukine", Hiyori said worried, watching the two boys fight.

"Slow down kid! I'm not regretting anything. Releasing her was the right decision and I never once doubt that, so watch out what you are saying. I choose you as my one and only Shinki! I don't need and I don't want to have Nora as a Shinki anymore but that doesn't mean that I can't worry about her. I know what my father is capable of. You saw it yourself! If he is angry he might end up killing her if nobody stops him. She doesn't deserve that. No one deserves death!"

"Then what do you want to do? Do you want to go after them and safe her?", Yukine asked sarcastically.

"I'm not planning on doing anything now that he is gone and all of you are safe again. I just mentioned that I was feeling bad for her. You are the one who is totally overreacting!"

Hiyori couldn't do anything but watch as Yato and Yukine got deeper and deeper into a serious conflict that was way worse than their first one right after the attack. Their usual fights didn't contain such crucial topics.

She could understand how Yukine felt but at the same time she agreed with Yato about the fact that Yukine was reading way more into Yato's comment than he should have.

"Guys please", she said, "There is no reason to fight. Please stop this, we were finally starting to have a peaceful time again."

Tsuki was hiding behind her mother, holding on to her shirt. She didn't want for her father and her big brother to fight.

"I'm sorry Hiyori but I've had it with this. He always says that he trusts me even tho he doesn't mean it. Those are just words he uses to console me. To shut me up when I ask too many questions", the young boy now faced his pale looking master again, "I worked so hard for your sake and everything I get back are just words. Empty promises that don't mean anything! JUST ADMIT IT ALREADY I AT LEAST DESERVE THAT MUCH! You aren't even brave enough to tell me everything about that whole story with Sakura!"
