"STOP IT! STOPT IT PLEASE!", Kofuku screamed, hammering her fists against the borderline that kept her trapped inside a room along with Bishamon and Tenjin while she had to watch how Yato was being tortured.

The gods from the colloquy had sent down troops that were looking for any trace of Tsuki or Hiyori, in order to get rid of the threat the young girl was posing in the far shore beings' eyes. Yato and the others that were judged for being involved were now held prisoner. Beside from Yato, the others seemed to be safe.

For now at least.

The god with the deep voice that had started this whole mess was now in a room opposite of the blue eyed god's friends. He was doing his best to make Yato talk but it was no use.

No matter how much pain he felt.

No matter how long it lasted.

Even if it would kill him.

He had to keep his silence.

Still, the terrible screams he couldn't hold back every now and then when the pain got too intense to endure was a horrible thing for his friends to hear.
Especially Kofuku seemed to be taking it pretty bad, continuously screaming for them to stop.

"It occurs to me that he does not want to cooperate with us", the god with the deep voice said after Yato hadn't said anything in more than three hours, "What a pity. If you would, you could spare yourself from a lot of pain. Or your friends. It's time, get their Shinki! Let's see if he can keep his silence if we mess with his comrades."

It was that last sentence that caught Yato's attention. He knew what they were planning. Getting everyone's Shinki and use them to hurt his friends. Things were getting worse in a terrifying quick pace.

He wanted to protect his family.

He wanted to get out of there and take Tsuki, Hiyori and Yukine and hide somewhere where they would never be found.

But he also wanted to protect his friends.

If he kept his silence and didn't admit a single thing and wouldn't reveal the place where his daughter was, then his family would be safe as long as they weren't found.

If he told them where Tsuki was, he would betray the woman he loved, his daughter and his blessed vessel but his friends would be safe for the moment.

What should he do?

Hiyori was shocked when she saw Ebisu standing in front of their door. The young god was breathless and looked pale.

"Ebisu? Why are you here?", she asked, inviting him inside.

He closed the door immediately and asked if Hiyori had a key and told her to lock themselves in.

She did as she was told before she asked: "What is going on?"

"The colloquy! You are in danger! They know about Tsuki! The Heavens know about her and they are not happy about it", he explained.

"What?", Hiyori gasped, pure horror showing in her eyes.
