possible manga spoilers up until chapter 54

"DAD WATCH OUT!", Tsuki shouted to her father who was about to be attacked by an Ayakashi.

Thanks to Tsuki's warning, Yato managed to dodge a pair of big claws right in time preventing his head from being cut off.

"Man that was a close one! What's up with you today?", Yukine yelled at his master.

"Shut up! I gotta concentrate here. Tsuki is watching, I can't screw this up", the god defended himself, strengthening the grip on Sekki.
"Well too late dude, you already screwed everything up!", the young boy added sarcastically.

It was the first time that Tsuki accompanied her father and Yukine when they went out to hunt down some Phantoms. Usually Yato wouldn't have allowed it but Tsuki knew all to well how to get what she wanted.

One look from her big blue puppy eyes and neither Yato nor Yukine could refuse the little girl's request.

At first the day had been pretty quiet. There were no Ayakashi around for a long time, a fact that Yato appreciated really much. Without many Phantoms around the chances of getting Tsuki into danger were smaller.
But then all of a sudden a storm started brewing above them, making a bunch of creepy creatures appear that Yato had to get rid of while trying to let no harm come to his little girl.
It worked out in the beginning but after a while it got more and more complicated to keep an eye on both, the Phantoms and Tsuki.

They were on top of a huge building when it finally started to seem like they got rid of all the Ayakashi.
"Wow dad! That was awesome! You are such a good fighter!", the young girl admired her father.

Yato was flattered. He blushed a little and tried to make it seem like nothing, but the fact that he had to catch his breath as if he had run a thousand meters told his daughter that he was exhausted.

"W-Well", the god said breathlessly, "That was nothing!"

Before Yukine could make a snappy comment, Tsuki saw something that was approaching the three of them really fast. Behind Yato, there was a huge shadow in the sky that got closer in a terrifying quick pace.
A catlike monster with big wings and sharp fangs was getting ready to attack them.

"WATCH OUT!", Tsuki yelled and held out her right hand.
There wasn't even time to react for Yato and Yukine because as soon as Tsuki's hand was pointing into the Ayakashi's direction, both of them were knocked down by a shock wave.
"TSUKI!", Yato screamed while he was getting up again as fast as he could.

What he saw was something he would never have imagined to see.

Tsuki was still holding out her hand, her eyes shut and the Phantom that was trying to attack them was now standing in front of the blue eyed girl, sniffing at her hand.

"Smells nice"

Yato was ready to call for Sekki but then the giant cat started to purr and snuggled its head against Tsuki's hand.
Like any other cat would do.

Tsuki slowly opened her eyes again as soon as she felt the soft fur on her hand. How could something so scary, so aggressive, feel so soft, she asked herself.
