Todd X the reader

You were in Eve's bedroom, you formed a circle with your friends. You were drinking while playing your own version of truth or dare. Leslie asked the girls with who they wanted to go to the prom with. Jessicawanted to go with her best friend on who she had a crush, Emma with her boyfriend just like Leslie. Mary, Jude and Eve wanted to be invited by some popular guys. You were hesitating to tell them the truth. You had a crush on this guy but never admit it to anyone because you knew that people will not understand.

"Y/N are you with us?" you nodded "So who is your ideal date?"

"I don't have one" you replied trying to look convincing.

"Don't take us for idiots, tell us except if it's Arthur, if it's him keep this disgusting answer for you." Jude chuckled.

"Right if I've to choose, I'll pick up Todd Haynes."

their reaction was precisely what you anticipated. They roared with laughter.

"Oh god Y/N, you're so funny. I didn't expect that answer but really that was a really good joke, one of your best." Mary said.

"Oh yeah, I mean who want to go there with him, he's such a nerd and a loser. I'm pretty sure that he doesn't even know to kiss a girl."Emma added still laughing hard.

"He doesn't know what is a girl you mean!" Eve completed.

They were laughing so hard that they were crying. You foresaw this reaction. But what they were mocking was precisely what you liked about him. He was shy and clumsy with girls, that made your heart melted. He wasn't the type of guys who dates a girl just to throws her away after he fucks her. That was true that he was a nerd but his passion for comics and the way he talks about it was so damn cute.

Only Leslie noticed how awkward you seemed when you revealed it and how tensed and upset you were since they were deriding him.

"I think that you should stop your nasty remarks" Leslie said firmly.

"Why? You have a crush on him" Emma responded. Leslie rolled her eyes.

"No but I think that Y/n is serious."

"Don't be silly Leslie don't you see that Y/N is joking." Jude defended Emma. But when she turned at you to prove that she was right she realized. "Oh shit, at least he is nice." she made up for what your friends said previously.

"Sorry we didn't mean it, we just thought that you weren't serious" Emma affirmed visibly embarrassed for what she said before. The atmosphere was awkward, girls regretted their stupid and awful jokes.

Leslie tried to relax everyone and asked:

"How do you know him because he is so discrete, I bet the majority of girls and even people don't know him."

"I've algebra class with him and last time he helped us when we published the school magazine about the comic's culture. He was so passionate by what he was telling and he was interested by how we make the magazine, he asked me questions about the redaction and so on. He was so sweet. But you told it yourselves he probably doesn't know what is a girl so I believe that he isn't interested by me and doesn't even notice how gorgeous I find him."

Your friends reassured you, telling you that you were certainly what he wanted from a girl and noticed that you were pretty. They assured you that he would take you to the prom. You smiled and agreed but inside you thought that they were wrong.

You ignored that your friends were right. Todd liked you a lot. He found you perfect since the first day of school. When he put his eyes on you the first time, he persuaded himself that he was dreaming. And since this day he couldn't take his eyes off you. He talked about you everyday to Dave one of his best friend and followed his advices. The only reason he came to the redaction to help for the conception of a special edition about comics was you. He stared at you during all his presentation and prayed that you didn't notice how intensely he looked at you. You seemed fascinated by what he was saying and he felt like the happiest man alive. This feeling grew bigger when he had the opportunity to talk with you, alone. However he was persuaded that you didn't remember him and that he was a nerdy loser for you. He repeated that and the fact that you were just marvelous to Dave every single day. Dave could barely support it, he had enough to hear Todd but never see him do something. So one day during the lunch time when Todd pronounced your name for the twentieth time in ten minutes,Dave cut him

"Why don't you move your ass?" Dave questioned irritated

"What do you mean?" Todd looked confused.

"I mean why don't you move your ass and ask her to go to the prom with you!!" He practically yelled at him. Todd was chocked but he regained his consciousness quickly

"Because she doesn't know I exist" he said with a sad tone.

"Stop acting like a child, you don't know that, maybe she knows you and is interested by you but if you do nothing you will never know, you have nothing to lose! Now grow your balls and invite her!!"

"But..."

"There is no but, dude I swear that if you don't go I don't want you to talk about her anymore and if you continue to talk about her but don't ask her, I will do it for you!" Todd looked at his feet, he was shaken but Dave was right, he had nothing to lose.

"Right I will go when he see her alone."

"No just if you see her."

"But if she with her friends I..."

"You will come and tell her that you want to talk to her."

You were with your friends at your locker. You heard them giggle and you turned to see Todd. He was walking towards you. He looked nervous as hell. Quickly he was standing in front of you. You smiled at him, oh god he was adorable.

"Y/N" he gulped "can I talk to you in private?" his voice was shaking.

You nodded and followed in through the corridor until you reached a quiet place.

"Okay I dunno how to begin" his palms were sweating. "I... I..."

"You what Todd?"

"You know my name?!!" he exclaimed

"Obviously"You replied. He blushed, gosh this guy was so lovely.

"I...Right I wondered if you wanted to go to the prom with me?" he said very quickly, you didn't understand clearly what he was telling you.

"Sorry Todd you what?" he looked at his feet tears in his eyes. He was sure that you were rejected him.

"No matter you know I should go have a good day." He walked away practically running away from you. You ran to him and grabbed his wrist. He froze, he was so tense. He heart was racing against hischest.

"I'm sorry I just didn't get what you told me." he looked away from you

"I wanted to know if you wanted to go the prom with me? But if you don't want I understand, I'm not a popular guy and you're just stunning and I don't..." he mumbled before you cut him

"It would be an honor to go with you, to be honest I was excepting to go with you." you answered shyly as you saw surprise on his face. He smiled widely at you.

"You will think that I'm crazy but can I kiss you?" he was skittish. You smiled back at him and put your lips on his. His eyes widened as he ran his finger through your hair. He kissed you back gently. You couldn't wait to be at the prom night.
