The main character is not "average".
Example: "Mia was not your average girl. She was different than everyone."
WHY IS THIS ANNOYING: People come on. "SHE IS NOT AVERAGE" is just another way of saying "this character is different from other people", and isn't everyone different? I mean, really?
HOW TO FIX THIS: We don't need this in our books, unless if it is important to your story. Other than that, just eliminate it entirely.
