Sentenced To Eternity
Chapter 12
Satan's Point of View
The room was full of light. The tables and chairs were made of light wood. I walked in wearing a beautiful tuxedo. It made my darkly tanned face shine. The other Angels already sat comfortably in the large seats. The Judges were there along with a few lower ranked Messengers who worked with the Judges.
"Wonderful to see you again!" I said, my face lighting up as he looked at the Head Judge. We shook hands and smiled, though the mine was slightly crooked.
I walked around and said, "Hi," and addressing each Angel by name. I asked questions about their family.
"Oh, Gerald's doing great," exclaimed an Angel with a smile. "I was receiving my family's information the other day and saw that the baby was born! And they assigned Clare as his Head Angel! He'll be well off with her. They named him Nathaniel after me!" I gave a smile and moved to the next person.
"Not too good. Jill got in an accident, but it wasn't serious enough that I could see her," said an Angel with a sigh. I gave him a sympathetic smile before replying.
"I'm so sorry, Stan," I responded to the Second Level Judge named Stan.
Finally, after many handshakes and smiles we resumed their seats.
"Have we been sending enough down, Sat?" the Head Judge questioned.
"Oh, of course! I feel stronger than ever," I said with a warm smile.
"It can be hard, you know. So many not even up for debate, but we send as many as possible down."
"So do you want to get right to business?" I said while outstretching his arm onto the table.
The Head Judge reached his arm out so it touched the mine. I closed his eyes and concentrated. The Head Judge drew a breath in pain.
Then suddenly the my eyes opened.
The Head Judge looked thinner and more awake. He smiled.
"Has anyone noticed your physical changes due to the power?" I asked.
"No, I've used your generous increments of power and yet they haven't realized. You know God barely notices when I influence him! The power is so pleasant!" exclaimed the Head Judge.
I smiled.
"I'm happy to do business with you. It's a beautiful exchange," I said as I went on to give the power to the other Angels and Messengers.
"I hope we haven't drained you," Stan said as I finished.
"No the extra inmates have given me more than enough extra power," I said with a crooked smile.
As I left I grimaced in disgust. It was difficult to act so kind.
