but he didn't. Sam took the joint and light it up, taking a deep breath. He didn't cough at all. "You sure you're doing this for the first time?" Charlie asked and looked at him warily. Sam just shrugged his shoulders and grinned mischievously, reaching the joint over to Jess, who coughed and then laughed. Charlie didn't seem to handle it any better and by the time it was Castiel's turn, he had to light it again. He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, before he took the joint between his lips and pulled. It stung a bit and tasted like shit, but he didn't cough either. Compared to how Jess and Charlie had reacted, Castiel felt pretty chill. For the first time in weeks, he relaxed again and thinking about Dean didn't hurt anymore. ~Hours passed before they dared to go home. It was past midnight and Sam had been texting with Dean to reassure his family. Suddenly this whole thing seemed stupid, but Castiel couldn't care less.Sam's parents were already asleep when they came back. They tried to be silent, but Charlie and Jess couldn't stop giggling. Castiel tried to tell them to shut up, but he felt so light headed, it was amazing. He'd ask Sam for more stuff in the morning. Sam motioned them to go in the living room and wait, while he'd get some water and snacks. "I'm never gonna do this again." Jess babbled and flopped down on the couch. Charlie sat down next to her, hooking her legs over Jess' thighs, and played with her hair. "I want to stop laughing, but I can't." Charlie agreed enthusiastically and wrapped her arms around Jess' neck. Sam came back with a tablet full of snacks and drinks. He looked at the two girls with raised brows, but didn't comment on it. "Sam?" Dean's voice was quiet and barely audible. Sam's eyes went wide and he almost dropped the things in his hands. Castiel laid down on the ground and crossed his arms behind his head. "Shit, shit, shit." Sam cursed and quickly threw a blanket over Charlie and Jess. "You're back?" Dean came around the corner, rubbing his eyes. "Is everything okay?" Castiel could feel Dean's eyes on him and the need to shift under the scrutiny was only a hollow urge in his chest, not strong enough to affect him. "Are you high?" His voice was louder now and he imagine Sam pushing Dean away, because then Dean was above Castiel and grabbed him by his shoulders. His fingers grasped his chin tightly and tilted his head back. Castiel flinched at the light and wanted to pull back, even tried to brush Dean's hands off, but he couldn't. He smiled at him instead. The smile wasn't returned, of course not. "Cas?" At least he still called him by his weird nickname. "What the fuck were you thinking?" Castiel shrugged his shoulder. "Feels good," he rasped, licking his lips. The sudden realisation that Dean was there, right in front of him, so close to him, made him perk up and he covered Dean's hands with his own. "I can't believe you did this." Dean looked up at Sam. "He's completely gone. How much did he smoke?" Sam shrugged, but Castiel it was to not get him into more trouble. He'd practically smoked the whole thing by himself."Get up." Dean demanded and Castiel groaned, wiggling his eyebrows. He knew now was not the time to flirt, but he couldn't help himself - he found this whole situation pretty funny and Dean was hot in just his baggy sweatpants and loose T-shirt. Castiel licked his lips and stretched his hands out for Dean to take. He grabbed them and pulled Castiel up, effortlessly. Castiel stumbled, face pressing in Dean's chest. "You take care of Charlie and Jess. I'm bringing him upstairs." Dean's voice was stern and sounded a little raspy. Castiel imagined Dean wearing an uniform and commanding people around. He imagined how he'd make Dean beg
