flopped down on the bed, patting the place beside him. Castiel didn't hesitate and crawled on top of the bed, resting his head on Dean's chest. "You deserve better, Cas."Castiel froze. If better meant not having Dean in his life, he wouldn't take it. It didn't matter what kind of excuses Dean and, Castiel was going to fight for this, theme. If this was only about what Dean thought would be best for Castiel, Castiel would kindly turn him down on the breakup. "You're all I want, Dean. I don't need 'better', I need you!" He sat up and took Dean's hand into his, kissing the back. "Just talk to me, okay? Don't do something that would hurt both of us." Dean frowned and sat up as well. "Cas," he said. "What are you talking about?" His face was full of wonder and confusion and awe and it made hope rise up inside Castiel. "Do you think I was going to break up with you?" Dean searched his eyes, not waiting for an answer. "I could never do this. All I said was that you deserve better, because you do." Dean skid closer to him, wrapping his arms around Castiel's middle and pulling him in his lap. Castiel let it happen, too confused and taken aback. "I didn't handle the situation quite as well as I should have and I let you down multiple times, putting someone else before you. I ... What kind of boyfriend does that?" Castiel gasped, tears streaming down his cheeks. Of all the things Dean could possibly had said, those words had been at the very very end of the list. "Boyfriend," was all Castiel said and Dean nodded, shaking his head softly. "I won't walk away, Cas, but you really deserve better." Castiel rolled his eyes and leaned in to press their lips together. This wasn't what he felt like he was going to burst from the happiness that had build up inside him. "I love you, Dean." He didn't let Dean answer, maybe he was too scared of what the answer might be or maybe he just couldn't wait any longer. He pushed Dean back on the bed, spreading his legs to settle between them. It only took him one look at Dean to know that this was okay. They both needed some distraction now and though it seemed like the wrong time, it felt right. Castiel pushed his hands under Dean's shirt, trailing his abs with his fingers. He leaned down, kissing Dean's tummy, when the door to his room swung open. "Cassie, I hope yo- Okay, shit, wow, what?"Castiel jumped off Dean, falling off the bed and landing in front of Gabriel. "Why didn't you knock?" Castiel whined, rubbing his back. His brother had such a good timing, it was frustrating. Gabriel threw his hands up in defence. "There wasn't a sock hanging on the doorknob, so sorry if I didn't expect," He pointed at Dean who was still on the bed, face as red as a tomato. "this!" Castiel groaned and shoved his brother out of his room. There was zero chill inside him right now and if Gabriel would say one more thing he'd stab him with something, anything really. "Good, now you know, so leave." Gabriel sighed dramatically and left the room, pulling the door close behind him. "This is what I get for taking care of my broth-" His grumbling faded until they couldn't hear him anymore. "I'm sorry." Castiel yelped and hid his face in his hands, feeling confused at being aroused and embarrassed at the same time. He still wanted to take the step, lose his virginity, but now that he'd been pulled out of the heat of the moment, he felt stupid for even considering doing it now at such a miserable time. Dean tilted his head, eyeing Castiel vaguely. "Don't worry. C'mere." Castiel sat back on the bed, motioning Dean to get under the blanket, which he did after he took off his shirt and threw it to the ground, leaving him in a plain grey T-shirt. Castiel joined him under the blanket, hooking his leg around Dean's hip and kissing his neck. "We should wait." Dean suggested, brushing his fingers through Castiel's hair. "There's no need to rush. I told you I won't walk away." Dean grasped Castiel's chin and tilted it up, pressing a chaste kiss to his lips. "I promise." They stayed like this for a while, enjoying each other's company and not thinking about life. It was nice and peaceful and for the first time in a long time Castiel felt like he could actually be happy. They still had to work on a few things, but he knew that they could do it. "And Cas?" Dean asked after a while, startling Castiel out of his doze. He opened his eyes, meeting Dean's. "Yeah?" Castiel snuggled more into Dean, pressing their bodies impossibly closer. "I love you too, Cas." Cas smiled and layed his head on Dean's chest Dean gave out a sigh
