I'm hiding my life under the shadows
So that no one can know my broken past

I'm living far from my own city
Careful not cross anyone's path...

I changed my identity
In order to escape from the demons I left far behind...

I built walls around my heart
To hide the broken pieces...

I lived on my own
Alone and independent...

But then you came into my life
No matter how much I try to hide,
you read me like an open book...

You made sure you know me inside out,
And learned about my scars...

I was hell bent on pushing you away,
So as to not go back that misery...

But then you fall in love with my stubborn heart,
hell bent on healing my scars...

You made sure I'm okay,
Careful not to hurt me in anyway...

You proved all my fears wrong,
Slowly turning my nightmares into beautiful dreams of reality...

You put me out of the shadows I hide,
And welcomed me into this bright light holding my hand...
