I wake up to the sound of a blaring alarm and slam my hand on it. "Damn. First day of school." I mumble as I quickly throw on my clothes. Black pants, red shoes, a white shirt, and a purple and black striped jacket. I let out a yawn as I walk outside. I slowly walk to school. I walk to the parking lot of Everet County Community College. The ECCC. They offer all kinds of lessons. The college was built around 2 years after the fight with Silvia. Since the battle with Silvia the world has changed completely. Everyone knows of the danger demons and angels pose to humans. Entire hate groups have been started to ban anything non-human from populated zones. Just a bunch of idiots that don't realize we're the only reason that they're alive. I slowly walk into the main building and look for my classes. C-1, F-7, A-3. So my classes are on the 1st, 7th, and 3rd floors of buildings C, F, and A. Demon and Angel anatomy doesn't sound like too hard of a class, but advanced math sounds like a pain, and my self defense class on the 3rd floor sounds easy. I think as I walk to my first class. "Welcome to Demon and Angel anatomy!" My professor yells to the 40 students in the class. The professor is bald with a white beard. "As far as we know, demons and angels are human looking until they release more of their energy and enter their 'true form', and further more their true forms are always much more powerful. Now the origin of their power is unknown. The best guess we have is the power is passed from generation to generation." The professor says as a girl raises her hand. "How powerful can they become?" She asks as he smiles. "Anywhere from cutting through trees with ease to destroying planets in extremely rare cases." He says as we hear a knock at the door. "We also have a special guest to tell you more about demons and angels." He says as he opens the door near him. I see Sinclair walk in and I smile and shake my head. "This is Ms. Sinclair. She used to be a general in the DHC, but left for personal reasons." He says as Sinclair smiles. "Hello everyone, today I'm going to teach you about weaknesses." She says as she summons a gun. "I was part of the Deity Project that the DHC conducted. Out of 500 test subjects only 4 survived. I won't say their names but I will say I was gifted with the most talents. I quickly rose through the ranks and figured out a lot from demons. For starters, their weak spot is their neck or head but it takes a lot to even damage them. Secondly, every being is different. Some regenerate faster than others. And third." Sinclair says with a slight pause. "Not all demons are evil and not all angels are good." She says as everyone starts whispering. I lay my head down and think back to the Silvia fight. I still don't understand what Silvia meant. She obviously knew something no one else did. She kept saying "future", but why. Is something going to happen? I get lost in thought for the rest of class. As I snap back into awareness I see everyone leaving. "Don't forget we're having a test over this in a week." The professor says as Sinclair meets me at the door. "Hey Kai, how have you been?" She asks with a smile. "Ah, pretty good. How about you?" I reply as she pops her knuckles. "I've been bored." She says as she steps in front of me. "Hey, how about we go and get a bite to eat?" She says as I look around for a clock. I see one on the wall and read the time. "Hm, 9 am. Yeah I can eat, my next class isn't for another hour and a half." I say as she claps her hands together. "Great! There's this awesome restaurant a little off campus." She says as she grabs my hand and runs, pulling me behind her. She drags me to the parking lot and up to a blue corvette. Holy shit, is this her car? I think as she opens the door. "Let's go!" She says as I get in the other side. "Damn, this is high class." I mumble as she laughs. "Well when I was a general I made a couple hundred thousand dollars from all the demons I slayed." She says as she drives away. Not too much longer we pull up at a restaurant called 'Divine Burgers'. The name makes me feel depressed. "How horrible of a name could you give this place?" I mumble as Sinclair laughs. "I know, I know. But the food is really good I swear." She says as she gets out. I swear, she's completely different then from when we first met. I wonder what could've brought on such an extreme change? I think as I get out and we walk inside. She runs up to the counter and starts ordering. I don't really pay attention but instead look at the decor. There's pictures of drawn demons all over the walls and in the back I see a photo. As I walk to it I see it's Velon. "Huh, haven't heard from him since he went to assist the Hunters a year ago. I wonder if he's alright." I mumble as Sinclair pats my back. "He's really strong." Sinclair says as I nod yea. "Well I ordered. You can order too." She says and sits as the table next to us. I walk up the counter and look at the menu. I hate eating at new places but oh well. I think as I smirk. "I'll order the- the judgement burger." I mumble as I feel myself blushing slightly. This place is stupid.
