I suddenly jolt awake and look around. "Damn, I must've dozed off." I mumble as I stand up. I see Nirioki on the table across my room. Something definitely isn't right. I think as I look around. I sigh and shake my head. "Achoo." I hear a girl sneeze somewhere I'm my house. I quickly jump across the room and grab Nirioki. I quickly run through the apartment looking everywhere. "There's no one here." I mumble as I ready Nirioki. No, someone is here. My guess is that they teleport somehow whenever I get close. I think as I walk to my room and sit on my bed. "You can come out. I know you're here." I say as I feel a thump under the bed I look off the edge. After a second Sakara pops out and I jump back against the wall. The gets out from under my bed and rolls to her feet. "What the hell are you doing here!?" I yell as she laughs. "Well, funny story. I got worried and came to check on you. When I got here you were asleep holding that knife." She says as I stare at her. "Uh-huh. And what made you get worried?" I ask as she laughs. "I'm not sure." She replies quietly as sigh and get off my bed. "I'm thought you were an intruder or something for a minute." I say as she laughs more. "Well it seems your fine, so I guess I'll be going." She says. Before I can reply she teleports away. "What the hell was that about?" I whisper as I stretch. I yawn slightly and look at my bed. "Why do I feel so tired?" I mumble as I crawl back into bed. I blink and wake up in a white room. Before I can think I see Azura sitting across the room. "What am I doing here?" I ask as she closes the book she was reading. "Well, it's very peculiar. Somehow, a foreign energy signature has entered your body. Normally I wouldn't really care, but since it was giving my energy a challenge to cancel out, I got intrigued." Azura says as she touches my forehead. "I didn't know who that girl was until now. This could be fun to watch." She says as I look at her. "Who? Sakara?" I ask as Azura smiles. "Kai, you want to get stronger?" She asks as I quickly sit up. "Of course I do!" I say as she smiles. "I know some people that'll help you get stronger. They'll just let you get a lot of fighting experience." She says as I stand up. "Really? Who are they?" I ask as I hear a knock at the door behind Azura. "Come in." She says as I see a man with short silver hair walk in. "Orion?" I mumble as he laughs. "So this is who you told me about?" Orion says as she nods. "Kai needs to get stronger and learn to be more efficient in using his energy. I was really hoping you could let him be a temporary hunter." Azura says as he smirks. "Of course, and as I understand it, you're giving him his first mission?" He replies as Azura nods. She looks to me. "Kai, do you wish to join the hunters for a while to grow stronger?" She asks as I nod slowly. "Alright, well Kai, I have your first contract." She says as she smirks. "Pass through the dimensional barrier and kill the demon known as Vargo." She says as I look at her. "What did he do?" I ask as she frowns. Orion speaks up. "As a hunter, you don't as the client about the target. No questions asked. That's just how we are." Orion says as I sigh. "Fine. So how do I find him?" I ask as Orion laughs. "You must find him on your own. Well, since it's your first contract, I'll open the portal to his world." Orion says as he opens up a portal. I stand up and look at him. "Well what does this guy look like?" I ask as Azura smiles. "About your height, short black hair, red eyes, large wings. Trust me, you'll know him when you see him." She says as I nod and walk through the portal. As I blink I see I'm in a coliseum. Of course this was a set up. Why wouldn't it be. I think as I see lots of people watching. "This is the newcomer we've heard so much about! Let's here is for the fresh meat!" An announcer says as I look around. I see lots of people cheering as a demon appears about 30 feet away. "Fresh meat is fighting the champion! Vargo!" The announcer says as the demon summons a sword. His energy is a decent level but nothing too impressive. I've fought the highest ranked beings there are. This should be easy. I think as he teleports to me and thrusts his sword toward me. I catch it with one hand without being cut. "Really?" I mumble as I kick him in the side of the head and knock him about 40 feet away. After a minute of not moving I hear a gasp go over the crowd. I squint and sigh. "That was honestly very depressing." I mumble as I feel a massive energy signature appear behind me. I turn around and see Azura. "Next contract, land a single punch on me." She says as she hits me in the gut before I notice she teleports. I cough up blood as I get sent flying through the coliseum and through several building behind it. I wipe some blood from my lip and take a deep breath. I need all your help. Angel, unnamed angel, please allow me some of your energy. I think as I jump directly to my 4th release. My hair grows out. I notice and black with a little silver in the tips. This feels much more powerful than last time. I think as I summon Evony. "Alright, let's play."
