As I finish eating Mia smiles. "That was amazing!" She says as she slides out of her chair. "I think I'm going to bed." I mumble as they look at me. "Are you feeling ok?" Rick asks as I nod. "Yea, I'm fine." I mumble as he nods and leads me to a guest room. "You can sleep here for the night." He says as I bow. "I can't thank you enough for your hospitality." I say as he chuckles. "It's fine. You seem like a nice young man." He says as I smile. He closes the door as I lay down. I quickly fall asleep and open my eyes in free fall. I see no land anywhere, I'm just falling through a blank void. Suddenly I stop and see all my friends dead around me, along with hundreds of bodies I don't recognize. I see something off in the distance. It walks toward me slowly. It's a large creature about 30 feet tall with huge horns. I see Zen dangling from the creatures hand. The creature crushes Zens head as blood pours down onto the ground. It looks to me and growls. Suddenly everything turns to dust and blows away. "That's our future, that's your death." A female voice says as I quickly look around. "Who are you!?" I scream as a mirror appears in front of me. I see myself, yet not myself. It looks like me but it's not matching my movements. It puts it's hand against the mirror. "I'm you." It says as I hear a girl laughing. As I start to say something, I jolt awake in my bed. I quickly look around and wipe the sweat from my forehead. "What was that all about?" I mumble as I feel an energy signature a few hundred feet away. I quickly rush out of the room and stand next to front door. As I start to look through the peep hole of the door, bullets go ripping through the door and walls. I quickly drop to the floor and look around. I teleport into the living room. Suddenly I hear a door get knocked down soon followed by Mia screaming. I instantly teleport to her room as see some men wearing all black tying her arms behind her back. I push them aside and grab her then teleport to the room I was in. I roll Mia under the bed to hide her and run into the hallway. I see several men pointing guns toward me. "There he is!" One yells as they start to pull the trigger. I teleport into a random room and see Rick barricade his door closed. "What about your daughter?" I ask as he spins around and looks at me wide eyed. "How did you get in here?! Did I miss a spot?!" He yells as he frantically searches the room. I shake my head. "No, but I'm going back out there." I say as he makes a fist. "I think they came for Mia." He says as I stare at him. "What do you mean?" I ask as he shakes his head. "She's adopted, not really my own. She's not human, or not that I can tell. She's just much weaker than normal demons, but she also hasn't found out about her power yet. Hell, her energy hasn't even formed yet. But from time to time her eyes become red and slitted." He says as I pat his shoulder. "Well then me and her have something in common. But I'm half demon and half angel." I say as he quickly backs away. "You're a monster!" He yells as I nod. "I know. But don't worry, I don't kill anymore. I refuse to fight. But you don't have that vow. I can distract the DHC and you can shoot them. I can't actually hurt them." I say as he looks at me. "Why would you want to protect me and Mia? You don't even know us." He says as I nod. "I know, but I can't just let people get hurt. I want to defend them. But it'll always end in blood." I say as he walks across the room and grabs his shotgun. "Ok kid, let's do this." He says as I laugh. "I'm actually 22." I say rubbing the back of my neck. "Once a demon or angel unlocks their true energy they start aging much slower." I say as he shakes his head. "Odd. Now let's go teach them bastards that they shouldn't break into people's houses." He says as I quickly move all the objects he put in front of his door. I throw the door open and run into the hall. Several guys are at the end. The quickly aim toward me as I teleport behind them. "Over here!" I yell as they turn around and Rick runs out and shoots them in their backs. We move through the house doing the strategy over and over again. As we get to the room I was in we see a man holding a gun to Mia's head. "Well, well, well. Look what we have here. A wanted test subject and a soon to be test subject." The man says as he smiles evily. "That DHC is supposed to protect other humans!" I yell as he laughs. "We are helping. Kill everything associated with demons and angels. That means you." He says as he fires a shot toward Rick. The DHC agents eyes widen as I block the bullet with energy coming from my palm. "I won't allow any innocent people to die." I say as summon Niroki. I can't summon Evony, the pressure of that energy manifesting could hurt these people. I quickly teleport to Mia and pull her away then cut through the barrel of his gun. "This is over." I say as he laughs. "Kai, you fool, this will never be over." He says as I sense someone walking toward the house. The energy signature is around the same level of Anix. I quickly grab Mia and Rick and teleport to Zero's old house. "You'll be safe here. For a while anyways." I say as Rick sighs. "I sure hope s-" Blood splatters all over the walls, me, and Mia as Rick gets cut in half. The same energy signature I felt before managed to follow me. An overwhelming anger and sadness fills me. "Damn you!" I yell as I throw a punch. I can't keep my vow.
