"Aisling!, Aisling!"

I practically vaulted myself in her bedroom. Everything made sense now. Well, almost everything. Aisling was predicting these things and I was to stupid to see it. Jumping onto her bed I shot questions at her like a reporter.

"When did this all start?"

"Have you always been able to predict things?"

"How come you can predict things?"

"What do the orbs do?"

"Where are the orbs from?"

She cringed again, like she was getting a headache.

"It's the water, it's what makes us this way" she said with a pained expression.

Us? Only Aisling can do these things as far as I know. I decided not to push that any farther, I had bigger things to worry about.

"What about the orbs, where are they from and what can they do?" I was getting impatient now, I hated wondering about things.

"It's from the nuclear leaks from the plant downtown, when someone with powers like me comes toward a lot of nuclear material in the air in a certain place it manifests as an orb. These orbs give people the powers, it also comes in the water and they think it just a chemical because it's the waste is reacting with other things in the water creating it,"

"Ashy why haven't you been telling me these things?"

"It hurts when I use my power, and it just makes me more sick. I can't control it Sky, and I'm scared." And then she opened her eyes.

"Oh my gosh what happened to your eyes!"

Her eyes were as gray as the landscape she drew for me, dead and dull. There wasn't a a single trace of her old eye color. Not only were eyes gray I noticed but her skin had become a sickly gray color. It really did make her more sick.

"Go to Jenna....." Her head lolled to the side and her eyelids slowly closed.

"Aisling, Ashy, wake up!"

What am I exactly supposed to do in this situation? Stand there in shock and panic, call my mom or call 911? You know that feeling of panic, when adrenaline is rushing through you yet you still do nothing? That's me. The fear rose to my chest quickening my breaths. What would I do? Is she dead?

No, she can't be dead ,she cant be. No, no, no. She all I have left, not her, anybody but her.

*Crash*

The vase in her room lay in shards on the ground. Purple ceramic pieces on the carpet. The dresser it was on was behind me a few feet away. There was no way I could have knocked over like that, and with such force. We don't have any pets and either so that couldn't be the cause and I've never experienced an earthquake in my life and if there was one wouldn't more things be falling? Paranormal activity isn't something that happens here. As far as I know.

I was so shocked almost forgot about my sister. Some color was returning to her cheeks.
I press my fingers to the side of her neck. A steady, strong pulse met my fingertips. My own heart calmed to a normal pace. She soon returned to her normal skin color as her eyelids fluttered open.

"Oh my gosh, Ashy what happened, I was so worried"

Her eyes had glazed over look to them as she was waking from a deep sleep. Her voice reflected sleep too.

"It's, umm, the powers, the more you use them the more you deteriorate and go gray."

"But why it only you with powers and not anyone else?"

She seemed to sigh with impatience.

"I told you to talk to Jenna"

"You mean Jenna has powers too?"

"Of course"

She stared at me like it was obvious, like everyone can predict the future and have dream visions.

"Call her, you can gossip about it on the phone, now let me sleep." She retorted and pulled her blankets over her head.
