New Message from Seth

Are you okay?
Well that's unusual. Seth can be comforting but not in this way. He never really shows any concern for anyone. He just thinks everything's will always be okay in his little fantasy world. Full of cinnabons and marching band.
Are you okay?

Well there's just been terrorist attack soooo

Okay well that makes more sense.

Is Jenna okay?

That would be another classic Seth moments. I was about 100% sure that he had a huge crush on Jenna. I mean I can't blame him. Jenna had beautiful black wavy hair and flawless skin. She had everything every girl wanted. And ever since she came over for Christmas one year we have all been inseparable. Our small group of friends were a force to be reckoned with. Always were together until Jenna moved to New York City. That's when I noticed that Seth was capable of an emotion other than happiness.

Of course Jenna's okay, why are you texting me this late anyway?

Aisling was curled up against me after I had agreed to sleep with her for the rest of the night. It was currently 1:00 am.

Because I am one with the night

Okay Batman Got to go

K bye

I laid my head on top of Aislings, thinking. Was not taking the attack seriously enough?
Was Jenna in real danger? Was something more sinister going on? Question after question swirled in my mind until my eyes slowly closed.
I woke to the sounds to the sound of clashes and bangs. I quickly jumped from the bed, my sister jolted awake, wearily looking around the room. I vaulted myself down to the kitchen, expecting worse.
Was stepdad furious again? Was he hurting mom?
Instead I found my mom crouched over, picking up a pan on the floor.
Oh thank god I thought as my heart rate calmed down.

"Mom what are you doing?"

"Just cooking" she answered.

What? My mom never cooks unless it's-.
Then it dawned on me. It was the anniversary of my dads passing. She would always make a large breakfast in the morning with all of his favorite foods. I give her a sad smile and helped her pick up the pan she was struggling to pick up. My mom had bad back problems that she refuses to get checked out. Its either because of her fear of doctors or she just didn't want to bother us with it.

"Did you see the news?" She asks as she straightens up.

Mom never really cared about current events either unless it concerns us directly.

"What is it?"

"Waters been contaminated, some weird new chemical, it's been happening all over town, and don't drink the water from the taps."

That was news to me. First the attack then this.

"I SMELL BACON!"

And there was Aisling still in her Pjs holding Bub tight in her arms. Her smile even made Mom happy. She waddled over to the stove, her bare feet slapping the tile beneath her. Aisling probably had no idea this was for my Dad, she just knew that one day every year there would bacon and that was all that mattered.

"Is it ready yet?" She questioned, looking backwards at me.

As I laughed and played I slowly began to forget about the strange new water I and what
it had in store for us. But it would play a much bigger role then anyone will ever think.

Thank you everyone for getting to this point! Yes i know this story has been mostly really boring for the most but one the things I hate in stories is not having enough character development, so bare with me things will be getting better soon!:)
