Ana's POV

It was 11:58 pm. I've been here for a while. I realised that I had to be with Logan when the clock marked 12 o'clock. I kissed Daniel on the forehead and went looking for him.

"Dahlia, have you seen Logan?"

"Oh, darling..."

"What? What's wrong?"

"He left with your brother Aaron."

"Where to? Did he say when he was going to get back?"

"No sweetie. I'm sorry."

"It's okay." I said to her, but it wasn't. Who leaves their girlfriend at a hospital at New Year's Eve?

I turned around and I saw Aaron walking towards us. "Where's Logan?"

"He's at your place."

"Why did you take him over there?"

"Relax. He said he had some things to do."

"Take me over there."

"Come on. I just got here."

"And now you'll be taking me to my place."

He groaned and we headed to the parking lot. Aaron opened the door for me and quickly got to the other side of the car. I called Logan as Aaron drove.

I tried to reach him two times and all I heard was: "hi, this is Logan. Leave a message."

Aaron was looking at me with the corner of his eye. "What's wrong?" He asked.

"I don't know. Did he seemed okay? Was he okay when he asked you to take him home?"

"Well. Yeah. I think so..."

"Tell me everything."

"It wasn't the sweet Logan. It was more like a numb Logan. He looked like he just saw a ghost. He said he had a few things to do before midnight. I assumed he received a phone call that's why he was like that. Look maybe he's on his way to the hospital." He remained silent for a few seconds, then he asked."Did you two got in a fight?"

"We barely even talked... I feel like you're not telling me something. What else happened?"

"What do you mean what else happened? That was it."

"That's not it."

"We smoked a joint. That's it."

Logan doesn't smoke just because. There's something going wrong. I know today hasn't been a good day, for Daniel's family and for Logan and I. Logan was really pissed off for having to cancel our plans.

My phone rang. I checked the time and it was 12:03 AM.

"Happy New Year, Aaron." I said softly.

He grabbed my hand and kissed the back of it as he kept his eyes on the road. "Happy New Year, sis."

I answered the phone call it was from the my secretary.

"Hi, Tess. Happy New year."

"Thanks. Happy new year."

"Thanks."

"Listen, I promised I would tell you this when you get back and a few minutes ago they told me you were back."

"Tell me? Tell me what?"
