Logan's POV

After I took a shower I watched the t.v. with my brother. "I know you didn't come home last night." He said with a sly smile on his face.

"Yeah, I know."

"So..."

"What?" I laughed.

"How are things with Ana?"

"They're okay. She let's me see Jude whenever I want. I'm fine with that."

"Alex called..."

"What'd she say?"

"She wants to see you."

I gave my brother a confused look.

"Lindsey met with her last night and she's bad. She doesn't leave her house, she's pale, malnourished, Linds thinks she's depressed."

"Depressed?!"

He nodded.

"Why? What happened?"

He gave me an are-you-fucking-kidding-me-bro look.

"Come on bro, you two dated a while back... You ended things with her because you fell in love with Ana... You break up with Ana and then you two hook up. Even I would be emotionally fucked up."

I didn't know how to respond to that.

"Alex told Lindsey that you're the only one who knows. Obviously, she said that encrypted message to her because Lindsey doesn't know you two hooked up."

"You've gotta be kidding me."

"I'm not. I wish I was."

I got a text from Ana. "I'm gonna go upstairs."

"Sure, man."

As I was going up the stairs I read the text.

Logan, I forgot I have work to do. Let's take a rain check.

I felt my heart sunk. I sat by my bed and stared at the Harry Winston box.

I have to do the right thing. I have to talk to Alex before Ana and I decide to tell everyone we are back together. I guess it would take a long time but the sooner the better. I prefer her finding it from me than someone else.

I called Alex. I was gonna text her but I think it'd be more appropriate if I called her.

After three rings she answered.

"Hello?" She answered coldly.

"Hey, Alex. How you doin'?"

"Okay."

I hesitated a bit. "Hey listen I was wondering if I could drop by your house today, you busy?"

"No."

"So... is it okay if I come by?"

"Sure."

"Okay. I'll see you in a bit."

"Mhm."

"Buh-bye."

I headed downstairs and grabbed the keys to my car. "See ya later man." I yelled to Lucas as I left.

"Good luck!" I heard him say before I closed the door. I got in the car and drove to Alex's.

I knocked on the door and it took her three minutes to answer the door. When she finally opened the door she had messy hair, an oversized sweater and pyjama pants. Her face was pale and had purple eye bags over her eye bags over her eye bags.
