Ana's POV
I dropped off Jude with Ashley since Logan would be busy with the moving.
Ashley and Aaron stayed home with the kids. No one else knows about Logan and I moving together. Just our parents. For now...
I passed by our home and I noticed Nick putting the sign FOR SALE in front of our house.
I went to the office and work hard until lunch time.
As soon as the clock marked 1:05 I got a text from Logan.
Lunch break.
Come over.
ASAP.
I felt this nice feeling in my stomach. I had a smile on my face.
I hurried back to my car and headed home.
The front gate was open and as soon as I passed it, the gate closed.
I drove into the long driveway. There was a U-Haul truck by the garage and Logan was just outside waiting for me.
"Good thing about having a house separated from the street and surrounded by trees is that no one can peak in. And even if they did they wouldn't see if we're actually moving out... or moving in."
I wrapped my arms around him and kissed him hello.
"Welcome home." He chuckled. "Come on in."
We walked inside hand by hand and I noticed there were a few boxes on the stairwell, the sofas covered with plastic covers and white blankets on top of them.
There wasn't a mess. Just a lot of boxes and cleaning products around the house.
What I did noticed was the table. It was set up.
"I ordered take out." He smiled as he pulled the chair for me. I took a seat and he sat next me. There was a salad with strawberries and cranberries and walnuts, and a tuna steak on a bed of sautéed onions.
"This looks delicious."
"It is. I made it." He joked.
Our glasses cling. He was drinking white wine whilst I had still water.
We had a lovely lunch. I looked at my watch and noticed I still had an hour left.
Logan was giving suggestions on how we should rearrange our beds so we could fit in two beds in the master bedroom so he could be closer to Jude. "We'll figure something out..." I smiled.
I stood up and looked around.
Even though, Logan and I made beautiful memories here since day 1, I can't help but remember the last things I lived here.
Logan walked behind me and wrapped his arms around me.
"I know I fucked up the last time we were here together. But one thing I can promise you, is that I will spend the rest of my life making you the happiest woman alive."
Logan cupped my face and softly and gently pressed his plump lips onto mine.
"Words cannot express how much I'm sorry."
"We're over that. We're here. And that's what matters."
I don't know that look on that face. For some odd reason, Logan's face was blank. How is it that the most expressive man I know doesn't have an expression on his face.
I felt a rush of warmth in my body. And I took off my blazer and then there it was. He had a smile across his face. "What?"
"You're gorgeous."
"Thanks."
"I'm serious, why do you always make that face every time I compliment you."
"Probably, because I'm not used to it anymore."
