Chapter 13

Josh pov

The search for those men had really starting to get out there. The sketches of them were basically everywhere, making it harder for me to hide it from Maya. I know that I probably should tell her but I just couldn't do it. I couldn't break her like that. She was in a good place. Her anxiety attacks didn't come as much as usual and she started to feel ready to meet her mom and Topanga. She had even called Shawn and Cory, it was hard for her but she did it. Who was I to ruin that?

Riley missed her in school but she came and visited every day and she was even able to bring Farkle with her once and Maya handled it so well. She was starting to become the old, secure Maya that we all knew and loved. I knew that nothing would ever be the same but they were at least getting better.

Maya was getting more and more secure around me too. She didn't hesitate to kiss me anymore and her love was more and more open. She didn't even try to sleep in her own bed anymore, we went to bed together and waking up with her was the best thing in the whole day to me even though we still hadn't done it. I think that Topanga is starting to have her suspicions about us. I don't know why, it just feels like that. Christmas is coming up and I was happy.

I was studying when Maya and Riley came out of the bedroom.

"Bye Riles. See you tomorrow?" Maya happily said before giving Riley a hug.

"Of course Maya, goodbye Josh!" Riley shouted before starting to walk towards the exit.

"Bye niece!" I shouted after her before she slammed the door shut. She had gotten some confidence that was sure. Maya came up to me and put her arms around me while I tried to study with no success. I finally gave up and pulled Maya onto my lap before attacking her with kisses in the neck. She giggled at it and kissed me back. It started as a innocent kiss before I deepened it and it turned to a heated mix of passion and love. Her hand started to brush through my hair, making it messier than usual.

I moved my hands towards her hips, lifting her up while I stood up from the pretty uncomfortable chair. I kissed her while I sat down on the sofa with her on top of me. She started to pull on my shirt and I helped her remove it. Her hands touching my abs made me shiver before I started kiss her neck again making a soft moan slip out of her. She immediately pulled her tee over her head, exposing herself for me. While I looked at her with pride the door opened.

"Hey guys, I forgot my jacket and my mom wanted to visit and oh my god! What are you doing?!" Maya immediately rolled of me, landing on the floor.

"My eyes, my poor innocent eyes!" Riley squealed while covering her eyes with her hands.

"Shit Riles! Learn to knock!" I let out in surprise and put my shirt on. Mayas cheeks were red like tomatoes. Riley started, of course, to laugh until she couldn't breathe anymore.

"What's so funny? Why did you scream?" Topanga came into the room concerned about her daughter's odd behavior. Riley just pointed towards me and Maya and I'm pretty sure that she understood what was going on.

"You, out here. Now!" She said and pointed to me and left the room. I had no choice than follow her.
