My phone was ringing. I didn't have time to answer so I let Riley do it. It wasn't Mayas number anyways. I was focused on finding Maya. Riley was in chock when answering. I prepared myself for the worst.

"Josh, drive to times square." Riley said and stopped looking outside the window. She knew something I didn't.

"Why?" I asked her. If something had happened to Maya I would never forgive myself.

"Just do it Josh, now." Riley told me. I gave up and started driving, knowing that I wouldn't get any information from Riley.

I wanted to tell Josh that it was Maya. I knew he was suspecting the worst but I didn't want to be the one to give him hope, only to immediately see him lose it. Maya had called me. She told me she was at Times Square. I was happy, of course I was happy but what if she wasn't there when we arrived. It would crush him and as much as he deserved to know I couldn't be the one to give him hope only to see it be ripped away from him.

We drove through the busy streets of New York, the city that never slept. The streets were crowded even though it was in the middle of night in December. It was freezing. Maya didn't have a jacket when she went out. I looked down on my phone. Three missed calls from Farkle, two from Lucas and one from Zay. They were worried sick too. They were out searching too in SoHo. Josh hands were turning white because of his tight grip on the steering-wheel. When we were getting close to where Maya said she would be I started to look around and to my disappointment I didn't see her.

I didn't know why we should drove to Times Square. It just didn't make sense to me and the only reasons that I came up with that somebody was calling on my phone was too horrible to even think of. Blood, pain, blue dead eyes, that was all I could think of. I wasn't giving up yet. When I parked my car close to Times Square I didn't know what to expect. Everything seemed so normal. Nothing had changed. The world hadn't stopped spinning.

Riley had basically jumped out of the car, starting to spin around, looking for something that I didn't see. She spun around until she stopped and stared at something behind me. I slowly turned around, not knowing what to expect.

"Josh! Josh! Riley!" It was no less than Maya Penelope Hart running towards me. My blonde angel was there, right in front of me. I couldn't believe it. I stated to run towards her and when we touched. I swear it was like the world was falling into place again in an explosion of fireworks. I lifted her up, spinning her around before she kissed me passionately. I let her down, with tears dripping down my chin. She wiped them away and her eyes were teary too. She was so beautiful, even when she cried. I couldn't imagine something more beautiful. She was mine and I was hers and nothing and no one was going to change that.

We were interrupted by Riley, who was crying of joy looking at her phone.

"They found them, they found them Maya. They are never going to be able to hurt anyone again." She cried out making Maya starting to cry too. I couldn't be happier than I was right there and then. My girl was never going to have to be afraid of those bastards again. She was here in my arms, happy. I couldn't wish for more and even then I knew that more was to come. That is what you expect in the long game. It was fate.
