Josh pov
My roommate was back. After months and months of staying out of this dorm he showed up. In the worst time possible. Apparently he had called Maya a nice piece of ass which resulted in a slap from Riley which eventually got into a big verbal fight. During the fight Riley had noticed that Maya was gone. She screamed for her with no answer and she took it out on my roommate who finally realized what he had done. Kevin had never been a quick thinker that was for sure. Now he was pretty upset but that idiot deserved it.
I had tried to call Maya but she didn't pick up.
"Look, Josh I'm sorry. I didn't know." Kevin tried to apologize. No way, not until Maya was safe in my arms again could I even consider forgiving him. Riley was crying, Topanga tried to calm her down but I knew that she wasn't going to be calm until she found Maya. We needed to find her fast, it was almost dark outside. I wasn't going to let her end up in a situation similar to last time.

I froze when the boy, not much older than Josh, stepped into the room. At first I tried to stay calm, it was probably just a friend of Josh's. I should be able to trust Josh's friends. I held on for awhile actually. Trying to fight the urge of running, it went pretty well at first. At least that was until he called me a nice piece of ass. When Riley slapped him I ran out of the room, the only thought in my mind was not again. I didn't think about where to run. I didn't think of the darkness that slowly fell down over New York. I just had to get away.
Now I was alone in the crowded streets of New York. My phone had died and I had pretty much no idea where I was. I think I am pretty close to central park but I'm not sure. It was people everywhere. I was scared but it wasn't horrible. My breathing had slowed down and I just turned around looking up in the bright lights of this beautiful city. Now I just needed my family. They were probably worried sick.
Since I had no idea where I should go I decided to find a place to stay at for the moment. Just to locate for a bit. I started to walk around in New York, trying to locate something well known. After an hour or so I had entered Times Square. Now I at least knew where I was. I couldn't walk home, it was too risky. I could get lost again, or worse. I was not going to end up like last time. I couldn't.

We all were on a hunt after Maya. She was a fast runner and she had been out for hours now. She was probably lost now. I knew that the chance of finding her in New York was minimal and that we probably should wait until tomorrow but I couldn't. Neither of us could. Riley and I had taken my car and drove around New York. I took time but we wouldn't stop until we found Maya.

I didn't have the courage to ask if I could borrow a phone at first. I needed maybe two hours until I finally was brave enough. I decided to ask a woman that looked like she was about fifty years old and holding hand with a man in the same age. She looked nice and even though the man frightened me, they were my best hope. Taking a deep breath I tooked my first steps towards them.
"Excuse me? Could I possibly borrow your phone? I wouldn't ask if it wasn't an emergency." I said quietly with my eyes looking towards the ground. I was afraid that if I looked at them that I would start crying.
"Of course, are you lost?" The woman said while digging through her purse until she found her phone and handed it to me. I nodded and dialed the number to Josh. It was going to be alright. I'm safe and soon I would be home with Riley and Josh.
