She sat in the corner stall of the bathroom, knees pulled up and her arms lolling between them. She stared down at the tiled floor, the sounds of footsteps and water barely registering, the bell saying first period was over and the running and the bell and silence not reaching her tired mind. She simply sat there, so tired, remembering the most random memories, nails digging at her wrists.
-this isn't in any order, btw-
"Hey, you must be my new roomate. I'm Akira Ki- What the hell?" The teen boy walked out of the bathroom, a towel wrapped around his waist and neck. However, as soon as he saw her, he began to flip out like a girl finding out there was a guy in her dorm...
Which was the exact opposite of what had happened.
"Eeeh! What's a girl doing in my dorm? Get the fuck out! These are the guys' dorms!" She looked at him, looked him up and down, and blinked.
"Oh. It was the board's fault. Go ahead and go file a complaint if you want to get dropped the fuck out of this school." She walked over to the blanket-less bed, pulling a set of uniform grey sheets and pillow cases and a black comforter out of one of her suitcases. She made the bed in ten seconds flat, looking at her digital watch afterwards and rolling her eyes.
"Damn, I'm getting slow. I'm too used to maids, I suppose. Oh well," she mumbled to herself. She plopped down, checking her light grey-painted nails. "What's a kid like you doing here? I didn't know there were any other prodigies. That may be why we were roomed together, actually, besides them thinking I was a male."
He quickly grabbed some clothes, face and neck and back bright red from embarrassment. "Y-Y-Yeah. Um, five minutes." He disappeared into the bathroom, coming out no more than six minutes and fifty seconds later, dressed, hair dried, and with a little bit of eyeliner. He had longish bronze-coloured hair, not past his shoulders but just touching in the back, and beautiful, deep green eyes, as hers were from her contacts just then. She looked at him, eye twitching so slightly as she pulled out a black sweater and electric blue and orange-striped pyjama pants. She crossed her legs, waiting for his answer.
"U-Uh, well, I didn't know there was gonna be another kid, either. I, um, I work in the Information Security and Emerging Technologies unit of the government," he mumbled out shyly.
"Ah. American, I presume?" She stretched out a hand. "Hitachiin Yoshiteru, or Yoshiteru Hitachiin westernised, and I work as a hacker for the Japanese National Government. In other words, I am the master of large-scale pranks like the cat hacker thing that I totally didn't do a couple years ago with my guardian's help... Also, between us, I track down terrorists." She smiled a small one, but the door suddenly opened, and she flew into the bathroom, terrified.
"Ageha, shh, Mama and Papa will catch us," she said, putting a finger to her mouth, the four-year-old following suit with a "shh." They silently crept up to the triplets' room, slipping in unnoticed, as the other two were still asleep. Ageha went to stand on one side of the bed, as she'd been told to, and she went to the other, gripping the blanket in one hand.
