They all sat around a small table, smiling as jokes were told and arms were punched in a playful, boyish manner, and barbecue was eaten. They may have been the loudest group in the restaurant, actually, but the employees were more amused by the teens than annoyed.
"This is so good, guys! Like, damn, I didn't realise American food was so good! Let's someday all go to America together, alright?" Sute asked, smiling. Annaisha brightened up a bit.
"Y-Yeah! M-Maybe we could find my parents!" Her smile grew wide, and she clapped childishly, and Akira and Teru's heads suddenly snapped in her direction.
"Wait, what?" they spoke in unison, reaching for each other's hands from across the table, a left and right ankle locking together out of habit. Sute sympathetically smiled at them all as Annaisha explained.
"Well, you see, I was adopted from America by my parents. My name really is Anna, although I prefer Annai for a nickname. All I know is that I was adopted from New York, and I know I had a brother, but I was too little when he was adopted, so I don't remember his name. I don't really mind, though. I know I can find him." She smiled hopefully at them, and Akira took her small hand in his, smiling at her.
"I'm sure you will," he muttered cluelessly, while Sute and Teru looked at each other.
"Sute, you didn't..."
"Not on purpose, but it all worked out when you came." She smiled innocently at Teru, who had tears in her eyes.
Actually, they both did, but neither could act on them, as he was always watching.
But they still took each other's hands under the table, away from any camera's eyes.
"Hey, Annai, we'll help you! Akira knows New York like the back of his hand!"
He rolled his eyes. "Teru, that's you."
"Oh right! Anyways, wonder what the Host Club is doing without us weirdos."
