"No, there is no way in hell that I am going to wear a dress." I say to Bliss, Carli, and Clair as we walk around the mall, going to the store that sells stuff for prom.
"Awe, why not? You would look super hot!" Clair whines.
"Because I'd look like an actual idiot." I tell her like it was obvious.
"Give me three reasons then." She sasses.
"Okay, let's see, I don't have boobs, dark leg hair, and, oh yeah, I'm a guy." I tell her with a glare.
"Some guys wear dresses." Carli pipes in.
"Well not this one." I tell them.
"That's gay." She mumbles.
"Well, I am so." I sat with a laugh. She rolls her eyes but laughs anyways.
We finally reach the shop with what we need and head in.
"Hello, I'm Mary. What can I help you with today?" The lady behind the counter asks us once she sees us.
"Hey. My friends and I need stuff for prom." Bliss explains to her.
"Well, you came to the right place." She says, coming out from behind the counter. "Let's start with you, shall we?" She says, pointing to me. I nod and follow her to the tuxedos.
"Are you doing a color scheme with your date or?" She asks.
"We're going to do yellow." I tell her. She nods and goes to find something for me to try on.
The reason Vic and I chose yellow was because Mike and Justin had this great idea that we should be like the teletubbies since Justin and Clair, Dakota and Bliss, and Carli and Mike are going together. Clair is getting a mint green dress, Carli is getting a purple one, and Bliss is getting red one. I'm not sure what made them come up with this but I don't mind.
"Kellin!" Bliss says, making all of us jump a little. "I just got the greatest idea!"
"What?" I asks her.
"I know you said no to the dress but you should totally put one on and take a picture then send it to Vic, saying that's what's you're wearing to Prom." She explains.
"Do it!" Clair agrees.
I thought about it for a second. I mean, I'd only be putting the thing on for a few seconds to take the picture.
"Alright, fine." I answer them causing them all to squeal. I laugh and look back over to see Mary walking out with two tuxedos.
"Okay, so I brought out a traditional tux with a yellow tie and one with a yellow button-up instead of it being white with a white tie." She explains, showing them to me. "And, in my opinion, you would look better with the traditional tux since the yellow will kid of clash with your pale skin."
"Alright. I'll go try it on." I tell her, standing up and taking it from her and going into the dressing room.
It wasn't as hard to try as I thought it was going to be. Well, besides the tie. I tried but ended up getting it into a knot.
"Uh, do any of you know how to tie a tie?" I yell to the girls outside.
"I do. Get out here." One of the shout back. I unlock the door and step out in embarrassment.
"Have you ever even worn a tie before?" Bliss asks, walking over to me and fixing the disaster.
"Maybe when I was younger." I tell her honestly.
"That explains a lot." She says. I smile at her and, once she's finished, turn around and look at myself in the mirror.
The tux was so simple but I absolutely loved it for some reason.
