Waking up to Mike jumping on Vic and I was not how I imagined waking up. I guess this is how my parents used to feel when I would wake them up every Christmas.
"Mike, get the fuck off." Vic groans, pushing his brother off of us and onto the floor. I giggle and turn away from Vic to look down at Mike.
"Are you okay?" I ask him.
"No, I'm not." He grumbles then stands up from the floor.
"Well, that's you're fault." I tell him. He rolls his eyes and walks out of my room. "Your brother is definitely something else." I say, rolling back around to face Vic.
"I know." He says then gives me a kiss. "Merry Christmas, babe." He whispers.
"Merry Christmas." I whisper back. "We should probably get out of bed, though."
"Yeah. I can't wait to see your face when you see what I got you." He says excitedly. I smiled but deep down, I was upset because my gift to him is small since my mom is tight on money. I just hope he looks past the size and more to the thought.
"I'm hoping you didn't go all out. We've only been together for a little over a month." I tell him.
"It's not really that big. It is soft, though." He says. I stare at him for a second before getting out my bed. He followed and soon we were in the living room with our parents and Mike.
"Took you two long enough." Vivian says jokingly. I smile guiltily and take a seat on the couch beside Mike and pull Vic down with me.
"Okay," My mom says, clapping her hands together. "Usually, we go from youngest to oldest and they only open one. Is that okay with you guys?" She asks the Victor and Vivian. They agree and Mike starts to open his first gift.
I don't really pay attention to him, though. I'm more focused on the Christmas tree in front me, glowing with many blue and silver lights on it. The blue and silver theme was my dad's idea. He always liked to have organization when it came to holidays.
I was snapped from my thoughts by Vic placing his hand on my knee.
"It's your turn." He says to me. I nod and pick gift at random, which happened to be from Vivian and Victor. I opened it to see a couple of CDs.
"Vic mentioned that you like music so I went and bought those." Vivian explains.
"Thank you." I tell her, smiling. She nods then I look over to Vic. He takes a gift and reads who it's from. He opens it to reveal a box. He lifts the lid of the box to reveal yet another box.
"Are you fucking kidding me. I hate you, Mike." He groans, causing everyone in the room to laugh. He opens a couple other boxes to finally reveal a simple $15 iTunes card. "Thanks." He says, playfully glaring at his brother.
"You're welcome." Mike says proudly. I giggle and rest my head against Vic's shoulder.
After about ten minutes of going around, I was on my last gift which was from Vic. He just came back from grabbing it from my mom's room. Why it was in there, I have no idea.
"Please be careful with this. It's really fragile." Vic says, gently setting the box on my lap. I immediately noticed it wasn't a closed box. I pulled the lid off and looked inside. I gasped and threw the lid off to the side.
Sitting in the small box was an orange tabby kitten staring at me. I reach in and take them out of the box.
"Vic," I say in awe, looking from the cat to Vic repeatedly. "You didn't."
"I remembered you saying you're lonely when everyone is at school and that you wanted a cat so I took it upon myself to talk to your mom and get you one." He explains, sitting back down next to me. I set the cat down on the floor and pull Vic into a hug.
