Danny's POV

I haven't seen Jazz or Sam all day. I haven't even seen Fright Knight. I kept wondering where they all were. Currently I was relaxing on a couch (in human form) in the parlor with Tucker, Dani, Nina, and Talia. Nina kept glancing at the Ring of Rage on her finger.

It pulsed with energy and a wide smile was plastered on her face. Fright Knight promised to get her another ring to match her beauty (his words not mine), that she could wear along with the Ring of Rage.

Nina and Talia sat on the couch across from me and Tucker was on his own separate couch. Nina wore a light purple dress with gold sash around her waist. Her midnight black hair brushed her shoulders and her green eyes sparkled with joy. Talia wore a white blouse with a blue skirt and her blonde hair was pulled into a bun high on her head. Tucker wore what he always wore, no surprise there.

"She'll make a wonderful Queen," the castle whispered in my mind, pride in it's feminine voice.

I smiled, "Yes she will."

I passed on the castle's words to Nina and her smile grew even wider. Eventually, her mind will become linked to the castle as well, since she now wore the ring. It would be a slow process but it would happen.

Clockwork had explained to me last night that since Nina was now Fright Knight's soon to be wife slash Queen, she held the same power as the King did. That was also partially the reason Pariah Dark never looked for a wife. Or maybe Vizier wouldn't let him?

I shook my head, pushing those thoughts out of my mind. Today was about being happy for Nina and Fright Knight and also squeezing in some much needed relaxing time. "So when's the big day?" Dani asked.

She was currently sitting on the seat next to me with her back on the seat, her head hanging off the edge of the seat and her legs over the top of the couch. She was in her human form dressed in red sneakers, torn blue jeans, a tight red T-shirt and her signature red beanie.

Nina tucked a lock of her dark hair behind her ear as her eyes glazed over the ring once again, "We haven't had a chance to discuss dates yet, but Pavor wants to do it as soon as possible."

"I call being the flower girl!" Talia shouted cheerfully as she leaped out of her seat beside Nina. We all began to laugh at her excitement.

Once the laughter stopped Nina turned to face me, "Danny, Pavor was wondering if you would be his Best Man."

My blue eyes widened. Pavor wanted me to be his Best Man at his wedding?! "W-why me?" I asked.

Nina reached over the small coffee table and placed her hand on mine, "He considers you a great friend. You gave him a second chance, passed your title to him, entrusted him with the power of the Ring of Rage and Crown of Fire. He feels this is the least he can do to repay you for all your kindness."

I heard Tucker snicker and I shot him a glare, "Of course I'll be his Best Man," I told Nina with a smile.

She smiled back and removed her hand, "Wonderful, he'll be so happy to hear it!"

Dani moved out of her upside down position and now rested her head on he arm rest of the couch while sticking her feet on top of my lap, "So what about you?" she asked Nina.

The Queen to be tilted her head at my cousin, "What do you mean?"

"If old Frighty's got a Best Man, who's your Maid of Honor?" Dani questioned.

Nina placed a hand on her chin, "I am not sure. I have many friends in the castle and many of you are my friends. I'm not sure who I would choose."

Tucker groaned, "If you all are going to talk about wedding stuff, I'm going to head to my room and grab one of my emergency snacks. I have a feeling this will take a while."

Tucker stood up and began to walk out of the parlor, "Why don't you just go into the kitchen?" Talia asked.

Dani and I began to laugh and Tucker turned to glare at us before stomping out of the parlor. We continued to laugh as Nina and Talia looked at us in confusion. "What's so funny?" asked Nina.

Before either us could stop laughing to explain, a loud scream could be heard. Nina, Talia and I stood up in a panic while Dani laughed even harder. Tucker ran into the parlor covered in multiple colours of paint. His hands were coated blue, his clothes had splashes of pink and orange on them, his face was covered in green, and his beret was neon yellow.

Soon, everyone was laughing. Well, everyone but Tucker. He sent a glare Dani's way, "I just know you are the one behind this!" he said, pointing a dripping blue finger her way.

"What? You don't like my latest masterpiece?" Dani questioned in between laughs.

"Not when it's on me!" he shouted.

I slowed down my laughter and took in a few deep breaths, "Hey, it could have been worse," I said.

Tucker looked at his paint covered body, "How so?" he asked angrily.

I smiled and replied, "It could have been me."

Everyone burst into laughter again and I swear I could see steam coming off of Tucker's head.
