Third Person POV

Danny had to admit he was surprised to see Sam and Scarlet getting along so well after the goth girl had gone to apologize. He had thought Sam would be more irritable than ever but no, she came back smiling and chatting up a storm with the new girl. It all seemed suspicious but Danny didn't want to ruin a good thing, so he left it alone. Right now the major thing on his mind was the upcoming Day of First Death, and his weird dream.

That's why he was currently flying through the Ghost Zone at very high speeds towards Clockwork's Tower; where he was hoping to get some answers. The halfa arrived at the tower's front doors and casually strolled in. His eyes widened as he saw that the tower was a mess! Books, maps and papers were all over the main room, bookshelves had been knocked over and there were spots of starry liquid all over the room. There were some splotches of green liquid too, but the majority was starry. The ceiling had collapsed and pieces of debris littered the room. Danny instantly feared for his mentor. He began to fly all over the tower searching for the Master of Time, calling out his name.

He finally found Clockwork in the grand library in elder form. The purple cloaked ghost was tending to a severely wounded Nocturne, while tending to some wounds of his own. Clockwork raised his head to look at the teen who had just entered the room, and frowned. "You should not be here," he muttered, wrapping Nocturne's chest with a clean white bandage. The Elder Spirit winced in pain as the bandage was secured tightly around his chest.

Danny floated over to the pair. "Like hell I shouldn't be here, what happened? Are you guys going to be okay?" The teen asked in a worried tone. Despite never really getting along with Nocturne, he wouldn't wish this on him.

Clockwork nodded, "We will recover. Nocturne took most of the blows, but he will fine. I myself have felt worse." Danny noticed a large burn on Clockwork's back and that his glass covering his clock insides was slightly cracked.

"Alright, so what happened?" The halfa asked, doing his best to stay patient. Not many beings could injure Clockwork like this, let alone two Elder Spirits at the same time. Except... "Was it him?" Danny asked.

Clockwork nodded and his body shifted to his young adult form. He pulled out another roll of bandages and began to wrap Nocturne's arm,in an attempt to stop the starry blood from flowing out of his arm. "We were in my chamber, reviewing what we know of our current enemies. Then, he burst into the room."

*Flashback*

Clockwork hovered in front of the glass screen in his toddler form while Nocturne stood beside him, obviously agitated. "We still have nothing old friend. NOTHING! Every time we gain an answer, ten more questions make themselves known." Nocturne began to pace back and forth. "This prophecy is a greater nuisance than Vizier ever was. If we do not figure out what we are-"

"Nocturne."

The colorful spirit stopped his rant as well as his pacing. He took in a few deep breaths, "All I'm saying is, why must me continue to stare at the things we do not know? We do not even truly know the mastermind behind this plot."

Clockwork nodded, "That is true, and I am unable to view into the path's relating to our near future." He grumbled, "This is becoming most annoying."

Nocturne opened his mouth to respond, when an explosion sounded throughout the tower, effecting cutting him off. "What in the name of the Ancients was that?" The starry spirit asked. His question was answered when the door to the chamber was blown to pieces. And in it's place stood a black cloaked ghost with glowing red eyes.
