Third Person POV

Fright Knight's body shook with sobs as he held the lifeless body of his love. Her eyes no longer smiling, her dark hair sticky with blood, bile trailing down the side of her cheek. Yet there was still a sense of beauty and grace to her. Everyone had their heads bowed in respect. Well, everyone but a very confused and scared red haired girl who was currently rocking back and forth on the floor, silently sobbing to herself. Sam turned slightly to look at the girl. She frowned at the state the girl was in. The gothic teen broke away from the group mourning the Queen, and went over to Scarlet. She knelt beside her, and gently placed her hand on the fiery haired girl's shoulder, causing her to flinch. Frostbite noticed this and whipped around angrily, forming a sword of ice as he did. "Lady Sam, what are you doing?! That female is dangerous!" Many other ghosts noticed Sam's actions and started drawing their weapons once more, even the humans.

Sam stood up and moved in front of Scarlet in protection. "Wait! This has all been a misunderstanding!" She shouted. "That monster who attacked, that wasn't... whoever this is!" She leaned down and gently lifted the girl to her feet. "Look at her eyes! They're green! Before they were blue!" Sure enough, upon close inspection, the ghosts noticed the change in eye color.

"P-Please, can I just g-go home?" The girl stuttered.

Jazz walked over to Sam and the girl. Sam and Jazz exchanged a few words and Sam let Jazz  lead the girl away to one of the benches. The other ghosts and humans put away their weapons and began to mutter among themselves. Sam pushed through the crowd and was able to find Dani, Tucker, and Talia. She pulled them to the back of the group where Fright Knight and Clockwork still stood. The Ghost King had stopped sobbing, but he still held his dead Queen tightly in his arms, stroking her hair. Clockwork sadly watched, not wanting to tear them apart. The Time Master noticed the teens approaching and floated over to them. Sam opened her mouth to speak but Clockwork beat her to it. "No, I do not know how any of this happened. I had checked the time stream before the wedding and these events were not visible in any of the outcomes I witnessed."

Tucker was the first to ask the question everyone was wondering, "How is that possible?"

Clockwork shifted to his toddler form and placed a hand on his chin, "It had occurred to me before, but this ordeal now confirms my theory..." He trailed off and stared directly at the teens. "We are dealing with an entity that can exist outside of time." He began pacing back and forth, before coming to a stop in front of Sam. He held out his hand, "The necklace, may I see it?"

Sam tilted her head in confusion, "What necklace?"

Clockwork's red eyes widened in fear, "The Heart!" He said urgently, "Do you have it?!"

Recognition flashed across Sam's face and her hand flew to her neck, but the golden chain was not there. Memories ran through her head. The bathroom. Scarlet. She had been talking to her and... and there was a pain in her neck. "Scarlet," she whispered, "The thing that possessed Scarlet stole the Heart!"

"I am the Crown once more." Whispered Talia. The group looked at her in shock, but soon everyone's attention went to Fright Knight as he let out a loud gasp. Nina's body lay on the floor, her eyes closed and the bile and blood wiped clean from her face. Fright Knight leaned over her, clutching his head, as his eyes glowed white.

"Pavor? Pavor!" Clockwork shouted, shaking the Ghost King's shoulder.

"The castle. I can see it. Everything makes sense now. Everything is as it once was." Fright Knight whispered as his back straightened and stood up. He turned to the worried faces of the humans and ghosts watching him. "It all goes back to the beginning." He told them. Fright Knight extended his arms, palms up, towards the group. "You must see too."
