Danny: No kidding
Me: Who asked you?
Vlad: No one but it's fun to insult you
Danny: VLAD!
Vlad: Daniel
*they begin to fight*
Me: *sighs as the chaos ensues around me* I can never write a story in peace. Hope you all enjoy the next chapter while I call Sam and Tucker to help me with this mess
Danny: YOU'RE GOING DOWN FROOT LOOP!
Vlad: THAT'S WHAT YOU THINK CHILD!
Me: *groans*
Danny's POV
The new girl, Scarlet, stood at the front of the room a small smile on her face. "Very good Ms...... Cane," Mr.Lancer said as he looked at the attendance sheet, "Please take a seat."
Scarlet walked through the aisles of desks and plopped into the empty one right beside me. She turned to me and flashed me a smile, her deep blue eyes locked with my own. I felt my cheeks heat up and I turned my attention to Mr.Lancer, who had begun speaking.
A note landed on my desk. I opened it.
'Dude, the new girl won't stop looking at you', the note read in Tucker's handwriting.
I looked at Scarlet from the corner of my eye, she did keep turning her head slightly to look at me. 'Weird. What do you think it's about?' I scribbled before passing the note behind me.
The note landed back on my desk. 'Don't know. Maybe she likes you. Speaking of, why do you always get the hot girls?' the note read.
I chuckled softly. 'I can't help that I'm so irresistible,' I wrote before handing the note back.
I heard Tucker stifle a laugh and then saw the note land on Sam's desk. She smiled as she read the note.
"So you will all need a partner for this assignment," I heard Mr.Lancer say.
The class cheered. "Partners I will be choosing." The class groaned.
Mr.Lancer began pairing people off, "Mikey and Nathan, Kwan and Star, Tucker and Paulina, Valerie and Dale, Dash and Sam, Danny and Scarlet."
My eyes widened, I was being paired with the new girl?! I looked over at her to see that she was already staring at me. She gave me a smile and I heard my heart pounding in my ears. I looked away as I felt my cheeks heat up again. Something about Scarlet was strange, I've never had these things happen to me before. Well, maybe when I was under Ember's love spell but that's not the point!
All I know is, being partners with Scarlet is going to be strange.
Wouldn't it be awesome to end it here? Nah, I'll keep going. TIME JUMP TO END OF CLASS
Danny's POV
The bell rang signaling the end of class and everyone rushed out. Sam, Tucker, and I walked out of the classroom together and not two seconds into the hallway I walked right into Scarlet.
I fell to the ground and so did she. "I'm so sorry," I muttered as I stood up offering my hand. "It's ok, I shouldn't have been standing right in the doorway," she said with a smile as she took my hand. Once she was on her feet I quickly let go of her hand. Something about her still didn't sit right with me.
"So what class do you have next?" Scarlet asked. her eyes once again locking with mine.
"Math," I told her instantly.
"Cool, me too. Guess I'll see you there partner," she said as she winked and walked away.
"That was weird," Sam commented.
I nodded, "Yeah."
"Not as weird as you being paired with the new girl who so happened to be staring at you during the whole class," Tucker added.
He had a point. What were the odds of that? "Wait, what was she doing?" Sam questioned as the three of us began to walk through the halls.
"Scarlet was giving Danny the googly eyes all period," Tucker told her.
I felt Sam tense up, "She was staring at you all period, get paired with you and has the same classes as you? Somethings up, I don't like it," she said.
I was confused at her tone. Was Sam... angry? I knew her angry tone and this sounded close to it but it definitely was not anger in her voice. Was it........ jealousy? No, that was impossible.
"It is weird, but I there's nothing we can really prove here. We'll just keep an eye on her," I said.
The warning bell rang for period two. "Guess we'd better get going, I'll talk to you guys at lunch," I said to my friends before walking off to my next class. I entered just as the bell rang and saw that Scarlet was sitting in the seat next to my own.
She looked up at me and smiled. I felt my abnormally slow heart rate increase at the sight of her. Scarlet Cane was certainly odd, and I don't know if I wanted to find out why.

Sam: What are you doing?
Me: Creating hype
Tucker: Are you sure that's a good idea when the actual action packed stuff won't be coming for a while
Me: Hey don't tell them that! And why aren't you two stopping Danny and Vlad!?
Tucker: Have you seen their fights? Sometimes it more fun to sit back and watch Danny's butt get handed to him.
*Vlad and Danny pause in their fight*
Danny: Really guys?
Vlad: If you join me, no one will disrespect you ever again
Danny: CAN IT FROOT LOOP!
*Vlad and Danny resume fighting*
Me: *sigh* I'll see you all in the next one
