Third Person POV

The cold.

The cold was all the girl ever felt. It was all she could feel.

It chilled her bones and made her teeth chatter. It made her tears freeze to her cheeks and her eyes freeze shut. It made her long and messy hair feel like icicles on the back of her neck. It made her lose feeling in her fingers. No matter how much she tried to warm herself, she always felt the cold. She couldn't escape it, couldn't hide from it, couldn't leave it.

And it wasn't just the cold that chilled her to the bone, it was her captor. She didn't know or what they were or what they wanted, but she did know that she was important to her captor. They always said that they needed her, that they cared for her and protected her, and that she would be rewarded with her freedom 'when the time came', whatever that meant.

The sound of a creaking door caught her attention and she pulled against her black chains that kept her imprisoned on the floor. The door slammed and the clicking sound of shoes approached her. Her captor laughed lightly, "I have good news my darling." Her captor knelt down and lightly grabbed her chin, forcing her to look in her captor's eyes. The unknown figure leaned close to the girl's ear, tucking a lock of her bright hair behind her ear and whispered, "The time is nearing."

The girl gasped, tears springing to her eyes, "S-so I can go home now... right?"

Her captor gently kissed her cheek, causing a shiver to run down the girl's spine, "Not quite yet, my darling. I still need one more thing from you."

The girl's body shook with sobs, tears spilling from her eyes. All she wanted was to go home, to be with her family, to finally be out of this cold darkness that had held her captive for who knows how long! But at her moment of hope, it was crushed by her captor needing one more damn thing from her.

The figure brushed away the girl's tears and gently kissed her forehead, "I know little one, you want to go home, to be with your loved ones." Her captor stared her directly in the eyes. "I want to be with my loved ones too. And you are going to help me with that." The figure stood, tested the chains, and walked away. The figure paused just as they were about to exit the dark room, "Then, and only then, you will be free and never see me again."

With that, the girl's captor exited the room, the door slamming shut behind them. And the girl was left in the dark embrace of her cold prison, as icy tears fell from her eyes.

Hey, Normal Line Break here. I just wanted to give you guys a heads up for something that is going to happen in this chapter. It's gonna be sad..... I think. Enjoy!

Danny, Jazz, Sam, and Tucker all stood in front of the Fenton Ghost Portal. Small travel bags rested near their feet and in each of their hands was a small gift. They were putting the gifts into a separate bag so that they wouldn't get ruined. "I don't know if the gifts were a good idea." Jazz mumbled

Danny looked at his older sister, "Jazz, the gifts were your idea."

Jazz stood up and crossed her arms, "I know that, but what if ghost weddings are different than human weddings? We could potentially insult or offend them by bringing gifts!"
