•••NIALLS POV•••
***LATER THAT NIGHT***

Ben took it upon himself to building a fire for us to make s'mores.
We all sat around the fire in a circle. Talking for about an hour before devin interrupted our conversations.
"Why don't we make the s'mores now?"
"Yeah. Niall go get more wood. The fire's dying." Sarah yawned.

I finally came back after 15 minutes of looking for the wood.
The logs were dropped from my grasp when I saw the horrendous sight in front of me.
Sarah leaned into Ben. His arm tightly wrapped around her.

•••SARAHS POV•••

I could barely keep my eyes open.
Niall left to go get the fire wood, I didn't realize how cold it was until his arm left from around me.
I shivered at the cold air and scooted closer to Ben. He put his arm around me and held me close.
I know Niall wouldn't approve but I wasn't going to let him see.

Suddenly I felt my eyes begin to grow heavier. My head lowered to Ben's shoulder. Just then I drifted off to a light doze.

"HEY!" I heard an angry Irish voice followed by the sound if dropping wood.
My body shot up from bens.

•••NIALLS POV•••

"HEY!" I shouted to Ben. Sarah removed herself from Ben's side.
I marched up to him and pushed him back, off the log he sat on.
Ben shuffled back on the ground before standing to his feet.
"I-I-" Ben stuttered.
"She's not your girlfriend!" I nudged him backwards.
"Niall!" brynn called from the background.
"Mate I-" Ben tried to talk.
"She's my girlfriend!" I again pushed him back. He almost fell that time.
"Hey calm down mate." Devin came up to me and placed his hand on my shoulder.
"Don't tell me to calm down!" I pushed his arm away, then looked back to Ben.
"Listen, I didn't-"
"No you listen!" I cut off Ben, "Sarah's my girl! not yours! she's in love with me! not you! Stop trying to be her boyfriend! cause you're not!" I pushed him again, making him fall over a stick and to the ground.
"It wasn't like that!" Ben told me.
"Oh really?!"
"Niall, it wasn't!"
"Niall!" Sarah shouted from behind. Her words didn't process.
"BACK OFF MY GIRL!"

•••SARAHS POV•••

Niall raised his arm. Was he seriously about to punch Ben over this!

"NIALL DON'T!" I rushed and grabbed his arm. He jerked his arm back. His hand slashed across my cheek. I fell down and held my stinging cheek.
Brynn and Devin both rushed to my side.

•••NIALLS POV•••

My rage fell when I heard the smacking sound of my hand to Sarah's face. I turned to see her on the ground with a red cheek.
I took a step towards her. I was stopped when Devin stood in front of me and held me back. All I could do was look to Sarah.
Her eyes threatened to leak her tears.
"Sarah, I..." what did I just do?
Sarah got up from the ground and ran off in tears.
"Sarah wait!" I called after her.
"Sarah!" Ben also yelled.
Right now I couldn't care less.

•••SARAHS POV•••

I ran inside and locked the door behind me. I threw myself onto my bed. Tears poured out of me.
I just can't believe he hit me!
The rage in his eyes.
The dangerous threat.
The force he had against me.
His urge to hurt Ben.
It scared me.
Is this really the same man I fell in love with?
Could it be that he's changed?

There was a knock at the door.
"Babe, please I didn't-"
"Go away Niall!" I yelled back.

•••NIALLS POV•••

"Go away Niall!" her words yanked at my heart.
I leaned my head to the door. The tears whelmed, one slipping down my cheek.
"Please Sarah." I whispered to her.
I felt a hand on my shoulder I looked back to see brynn.
I just walked away to the living room.

A few minutes later brynn came back into the living room.

She said one word.
"Ben."
He got up and walked into her room. The door opened right when he knocked.
I ruffle my hair.
"She just needs some time to calm down." Devin tried to make me feel better. "Don't worry."
"Man... I'm losing her. I really messed up this time." Another tear fell.
It all happened to quickly.
Like a flash. There and done all in a matter of a few seconds.
So short but such a big impact on our relationship.
I promised her I would never hurt her. Even if she does forgive me, I never will.

•••BENS POV•••

I knocked on her door, she opened it right away.
I stepped in. Sarah leaned against the door after she closed it. I just looked at her.
He red, puffy eyes. Her sniffling nose. Her cheeks stained with dried tears.
I could easily read her emotions.
She was scared, confused, hurt... almost broken.

I didn't know what to say. I just held out my arms.

•••SARAHS POV•••

I rushed into bens arms. The tears again began to poor.

"Shhhhh. It's ok." He whispered into my ear. Ben brushed his fingers through my long hair.
After sometime I pulled away from his hold.
I went to sit on my bed. Followed by Ben.

"I probably look like a mess." I tried to not seem so sad, but soon gave up.
"You look beautiful." Ben moved closer to me and wiped away my tear. I slightly pulled away as his thumb went over my slightly bruised cheek.
"..Sorry." Ben whispered.
"I-is it bruised?" I asked
"Kinda." Ben told me.
"I just can't believe he did that!" I began to cry again.
"It's all my fault. I'm so sorry."
"Don't best yourself up it's not your fault."
"I get where he's coming from tho... If I were your boyfriend. I would go to the ends of the earth to protect you."
Was Ben really trying to flirt with me? now?
"But you're not my boyfriend ben, that's just it-"
I was stopped by a pair of lips to mine.
"But I should be." Ben whispered. He pulled my lips to his again. I found my self curling my fingers in his hair, like I do with Niall. Two seconds later I was brought to reality. I pulled away.
What just happened? one second I was crying over my boyfriend who I love to no end, and then the next I'm kissing Ben, my best friend.

I couldn't speak. I just ran.
I ran into Niall's chest on my sprint to the door. We made eye contact for a second before I began to dash again.
"Sarah!" Niall called after me.
"Please... just don't follow me. Anyone." With that I ran into the rainy night. Anywhere but here.
