Chapter Twelve

The bell had gone notifying that it is lunch time now. I Just had double science with Aaron, Caleb and Jai. Even though Jai sat at the back with another girl. I placed my pencil case, science book and planner into my bag before taking out my phone. The class was empty by now so I quickly rushed out. Jai was waiting at the door way.

"You alright?" I smiled.

"Yeh thank you. Wanna get some lunch?" Jai asked doing his sloth smile. He was so damn cute. I nodded and we headed towards the cafeteria. As we entered, all eyes turnt on Jai and I. I looked up at him and he put his arm around me which made me feel more safe. What's everyone's deal with Jai? He picked up a BLT, a water and a chocolate chip cookie. I grabbed a pack of ready salted crisps and water. We paid and searched for an empty table.

"Why is everyone staring?" I asked as I took a seat with Jai.

"What. I didn't see anyone stare?" He said sarcastically. I laughed at his response and opened my crisps. My phone buzzed in my pocket, I took it out and it was a Direct Message on Instagram. I opened it and my blood instantly started to boil. Lucy's ex has messaged me.

@JackRowley- Hey, how are you? You and sister disappeared on me! I chuck my phone in my bag and Jai looked up while taking a bite from his BLT.

"You ok?" He asked with a mouth full of food. I just nod. I can see his eyes pear above my shoulder and he dropped his shoulder, I turn around slowly to see what he was looking at. Oh god, here we go.

"Hey Jai baby" She said pushing me of my seat and I fell onto the floor. Jai stood up and grabbed his bag then stormed off leaving me on the floor. I stood up and went to grab my bag but another hand grabbed it before I had the chance to, I looked up to see a girl holding it, she poured everything onto the table. Everyone was looking. Don't let anyone bully you Katie, you can do this.

"Do you want my bag or something?" I asked starring her up and down. "Oh wait, I think you should just have it. Might make you feel a bit better about yourself" I laughed. She stepped closer to me.

"I don't want this stupid bag of yours. It's probably fake anyway." She smirked.

"I can show you the receipt if you're that interested babe" By now, everyone in the cafeteria had our eyes on us. I see Jai return back in with Beau and Lucy following behind him.

"I just wanted to see what interesting things you have in here" She said pushing all of my things from the table onto the floor. "Nothing interesting for me here" I see my phone on the floor and pick it up realising it was smashed. This bitch did not just smash my phone.

"You just smashed my fucking phone" I glared.

"Oops" She said putting her hand against her mouth. Lucy tapped her on her shoulder and the girl spun around.

"Oops" Lucy mimicked her while pouring a chocolate milkshake over her. Everyone went wild. Jai, Beau and I were laughing so much.

"Come on Chelsey" The girl who is obsessed with Jai said.

"Bye chels" Lucy and I said in sync before laughing again.

"Thank you" I thanked. I turn around to see a girl picking up my things and placing them into my bag. "Oh you don't have to do that" I said sweetly. She looked up with her big brown eyes, she was so pretty!

"Oh I've been through all of this. I only touched Jai's hand by accident and she made my life hell" She laughed before hugging Jai.

"Yep, I knew she was that type of girl. Thank you" I said taking my bag from her. I said bye to everyone and walked out into the hallway. I feel an arm grab mine. Not again. I turn around in anger accepting it to be one of them girls but I see Caleb instead.

"What happened in there was crazy" He laughed so I took a bow then laughed. "What you doing after school?"

Surprisingly, the shy Katie was still there. "I've got plans" I say looking up at Caleb, he looked a bit upset. "Playing with my Barbie's you know" I laughed trying to make him laugh. He sighed in relief.

"Do you want to come chill with us boys" He asked turning around and pointing at Aaron, Callum, Harley, Daniel and a few other boys who I didn't know.

"I'll think about it" He gave me his number and snapchat and told me to let him know. I walked to next lesson which was English. I entered the class and saw Luke and Chelsey in the class alone. Chelsey was playing with Luke's hair and Luke was kissing her neck. So much for falling for me. I decided to walk to my seat and slam my bag down which scared them. Chelsey glared at me then turnt to Luke and kissed him goodbye. Luke wiped his lips and looked very embarrassed. The class began to fill up and the lesson began.

It was 30 minutes into the lesson and Luke has had his eyes on me for most of it.

"Can I help you" I turn to him which made him snap back in to reality. He shook his head and went back to his work. I sighed and continued mine. The bell went half an hour later and everyone scattered out of the class room, I wasn't last this time.

"Katie" I could hear Luke call but I decided to ignore it. I saw Caleb in the distance.

"Calebbbb!" I called as I stopped in the middle of the hall. He began running to me with open arms and I done the same. Once we reached each other I swerved him and hugged Aaron. All the boys fell to the floor in laughter and I stood there pretending like I didn't know what I done. I turnt to look at Caleb and I saw Luke at his locker, he punched it then walked away. I wiped it from my mind and jump onto Caleb's back.

"Sorry babes" I laughed. I was still on his back as we walked to our next lesson, Math. We walked past Lucy and she was at her locker with Beau, we both winked at each other then laughed. I can't believe what is happening. This never happened in my old school, not once. I have become so much more confident. We arrived at the door and Caleb refused to put me down. Everyone was whispering and I knew something was about to happen. I got a bit scared.

"Caleb put me down" I said with a worried and annoyed tone in my voice.

"She asked you to put her down didn't she" I hear Luke say. He released his grip and I jumped down sorting myself out.

"And who asked you to get involved" Caleb spoke approaching Luke.

"I don't need permission mate" Luke replied getting even closer. I stepped into the middle and I saw Jai come running down the hallway. As soon as he reached us he pushed Caleb and they began fighting. I ran to the bathroom and hid. I can't see people fight, it reminds me of my real dad.
