Untitled Part 20

We all sat around our dinner table with Chinese scatted everywhere. Beau and Lucy were having their own conversation. James and Jai were digging into the food and Daniel was in the toilet. Luke had taken a phone call and stepped outside. I looked around, this is my family. Mom and dad are not back for another six days, I was missing their company but it was good to spend time with these lot.

Luke had returned from the phone call, sat down and chucked a spoonful of egg fried rice into his mouth. He looked up and we made eye contact, he must have known I was staring. I plaster on a smile so no one asked questions. I pulled out my phone and opened snapchat, I slide onto mine and Kane's chat and asked what he was doing. He replied a minute later saying he wasn't doing anything so I invited him over.

"Kane is coming over" I whisper. I saw Luke's jaw tense.

"I need to use the toilet" Luke said jumping up straight away and headed to the bathroom. Everyone else didn't really mind.

10 minutes later, Kane had arrived at the door. I had opened it and greeted him with a hug. "Kaney boyyyy" I said letting him in. We walked up to my room and he looked around.

"Nice room Kat" He said.

"Thank you" I replied. We sat on my bad and was just chatting away. I told him a bit about my childhood as I felt I could trust him. Kane was one of my bestfriends and we bonded really well on the first day of school and he has been there for me since. Daniel came bursting into the room making us both jump. Kane and Daniel were also really good friends. They began to talk and left me out so I went downstairs. "Just getting a drink" I informed before heading downstairs.

I entered the longue to see Luke and Jai sitting there with James playing Fifa 14 on PS4, yes we had a PS4. Jai and James smiled but Luke just sat there. I sat down next to Jai.

"Give us a go" I ask.

"Nah, we will beat you and you will probably cry" James laughed. I raised my eyebrows and started at James. "Alright, you can play me" I snatch Jai's controller of him and fall into a comfortable position so I can play my best.

It was 3-1 to me and James was losing. I would look up at Luke and a smile will crawl across his face whenever I scored. After the second score Daniel and Kane had joined us. Beau and Lucy were still up in her room.

"Thought I'll lose?" I laugh at James while he covers his face in embarrassment because he lost to a girl.

"I played easy for you" He lied.

"Of course you did" Jai interrupted and we all laughed.

"I have to go Katie, thank you for inviting me over" Kane spoke, I jumped up and gave him a hug and a peck on the cheek. I looked to the corner of my eye at Luke who had clenched fists and was staring out Kane. I walked him to the door and said my goodbyes. I entered the front room again and it fell silent.

"Talking about me I'm guessing?" I say angrily. James and Daniels face dropped and looked worried.

"Yes we were actually. I wanted to point out the fact that you lead on most boys you talk" Luke said standing up and leaving the house. My mouth had dropped and I ran to my room. Jai had followed Luke after giving me a hug and telling me he didn't mean it. James and Daniel hugged me as well and left.

I jumped onto my bed and went onto Instagram. I posted a selfie I took the other day and instantly the notifications were blowing up. This made me feel so much better. I didn't lead boys on did I?
