The grass was green with small water droplets running down each blade of grass. For it rained only last night, though it's the beginning of September. The rain helped a young lady sleep in peace. It calmed her, it remind her of when she was a small child, splashing in puddles and catching rain drops with her tongue. A care-free child, not knowing that one day she will help save the Wizarding World from Voldemort.
The war change many wizards and witches. Most of them she tried to help, but to be honest she was the one who needed help.
But one in particular needed more help than ever. He has become drunk and abusive man, and his girlfriend was heartbroken at the site of his anger. War does leave a mark of pain.
Hermione Granger, was concerned about him, but told no one about his problems. She feared the worse, because if anyone found out, they would know about her 'injuries' and would write Ron Weasley up for verbal and physical abuse.
She was truly heartbroken by this, she once loved him, but now she fears him. Scared, that he might hit her every second, for no reason at all.
But because of the rain, she forgot about him, the world and the people in it. She was at peace.
Until a big bang on her door. She didn't want to get out of her bed, it was cold and she has no stocks on.
"Damn it, Hermione. Open the door."
Hermione grabbed her pillow and put it over her head, trying not hear the other bang on the door. Hermione knew exactly who is waiting for her outside the door, Ginny Weasley,
"Uhh, okay Gin'. Just give me a second."
Hermione hurry to the door, grabbing a black cartagena by her bed and wiggled her arm though the arm holes. Muttered a spell on herself so it gave the illusion that there was no harm done on her. Then open the door to see Ginny waiting impatiently for her.
"'Moine, do you know how long you slept? It's almost time to leave!"Ginny said.
"Where are we going," Hermione yawned.
"Oh my dear merlin, Hermione. To school, to Hogwarts."Ginny said getting annoyed at her best friend.
"Oh my Merlin, I totally forgot," Hermione said her eyes widened,"how come you didn't wake me earlier."
Ginny only rolled her eyes at her and walked into Hermione's room. Hermione started rambling to herself, about how stupid she is to sleep in and on the day she has to catch a train.
Ginny was quite amused by Hermione's 'self talk'. Smiling to herself, Ginny walked over to Hermione to help chose her muggle closes for the day.
"Hey, this is cute. How come I never seen you wear it?"Ginny asked holding up a dark navy blouse with small white flowers on it.
"Oh, I never knew I own that?" Hermione answered truthfully.
"haha, well today you are going to wear it ," Ginny said while trowing the blouse to Hermione, who grabbed it while it was still in the air.
Hermione scanned the blouse with her eyes to see if it was inappropriate, which it wasn't, but better safe than sorry.
"Hurry Harry is waiting for us down stairs,"Ginny said.
Hermione had stayed the whole summer at the burrow, along with Harry. One of her best friends, but he is more like a brother then a friend. The burrow was second home to her, Hogwart was always her home. The Weasleys allowed her to move in with them, since her parents don't remember her. It sadden her every day that her parents didn't know her, but she was willing to sacrifice their memories, in order to help save the wizarding world.
"Come on, Hermione. Change into your muggle closes. Then you can eat breakfast,"Ginny said already half way down the stairs.
Hermione did as she was told and hurried down the stairs. She smelled bacon. Smelling it motivated her to get to the kitchen faster.
Once she entered into the kitchen she was welcomed by something she wished she hadn't seen.
Ginny and Harry were snogging. Hermione felt a little queasy, watching them showed her what she might have had with Ron. It isn't jealousy, no she has never been jealous of them; no she just envies their relationship.
She didn't want to interrupt their love fest, she just wants her bacon.
Quickly and quietly she ran to the dining table. A plate with bacon and eggs on it was set on the table with a note that read: Do not eat Hermione's. She smiled at the thoughtfulness from Ginny. Hermione knew it was Ginny, because by the way she writes her t's.
They don't seem to notice her, so she just pulled out a chair and started to eat.
But she couldn't, there's a snogging couple only a few feet away from her and their moaning didn't help.
"Hey, some people are trying to eat,"hermione said, "and if you what to continue your love stuff then go get a room!"
They broke apart and smiled at her. People in love do seem the happiest, but not her.
"Oh sorry 'Mione," Harry said,"didn't see you there."
"ya ya ya," was hermione's only rely.
"Hurry up with your breakfast," Ginny said then looked at her watch,"oh good merlin we should be heading to the platform."
Ginny turn all around thinking if she forgot something.
"Mum we're leaving," Ginny yelled so that Mrs. Weasley can hear," Hermione where is your luggage."
"Oh it's still up in my room."
"I'll get it," Harry said then pop he was gone, then he repaired in front of them, "it's now it's at the platform with the rest."
"um ok-thanks," hermione said then taking another bite of bacon.
"No time for food," Ginny said while grabbing hermione's fork.
"What, but I need to eat," hermione protested.
"if you hadn't slept in then maybe you would have it."
"but-but..."
"come on you two we need to leave,"Harry said then grabbed the two girls by their arms and head for the door.
"ok ok.." the two girls gambled. Then pop they were gone.
Leaving the burrow behind them.
