Hermione slowly walked to Professor McGonagall. Why does Professor McGonagall want her and Malfoy? Beats her.

"You two might be wondering why I asked for you two," Professor McGonagall started," I didn't have time this summer to tell you both, that you two will be this year's headboy and headgirl. Yes, I know it is very last minute, but you both have potential. Miss Granger you have bravery and wit, and Mr. Malfoy you are cunning and strong. You two will be...what do muggles say...um...fire and ice, I believe. You two can bring peace in a time of war."

"Um Professor I am honored by your proposal,"Hermione said a little unsure of what to do,"but, not to be rude or anything, but why in Merlin's beard did you pick Draco Malfoy?"

"Hey," Draco said, but Hermione ignored him.

"Like I said before he is cunning and strong,"Professor McGonagall repeated herself, " and you two can be peacemakers."

"Thank you Professor," Draco said to Professor McGonagall, "and Granger I thought you would never question a teacher?"

Hermione turn to him. She was both shocked and angry. He returned her his singular smirk. Which made her want to beat him up.

"You two will be staying the whole school year in the the head dormitories," Professor McGonagall said to the both,"I will led you there and don't worry about your language it's already there."

Professor McGonagall walked between Hermione and Malfoy and headed to the door.

The great Hall was empty, there was no students in sight. Only Malfoy, Hermione and Professor McGonagall.

"Come on, Granger,"Malfoy said to her. "Do want to keep McGonagall waiting."

Hermione turn her heel and walked  down to the door, Malfoy did the same.

They walk down halls up stairs through doors, then they were in front of a portrait. A portrait of Snape.

"Hello Severus," Professor McGonagall said to the painting,"these are the new headboy and headgirl, and there is no need for introducing."

"Ahh, Miss Granger and Mister Malfoy, very wise choice Meriva,"Snape said to Professor McGonagall,"well enough chich chat, password"

The painting of Snape was way more friendlier, than the real Snape. The one thing that surprised Hermione the most was that he was wearing dark green robes, not his black one, but she didn't say anything.

"Butterbear's beard," Professor McGonagall said, then the portrait swan open. They walked into the classroom.

It was beautiful. The walls were maridel, the floor was a dark type of wood and there was a balcony to the left. Stairs that lead to their rooms. A fireplace was lit and in front of it was a black couch  and  two matching recliners, a small coffee table has in front of the couch. If you kept on walking there would be a small kitchen and under the stairs was a little area for studying.

"Wow," where Hermione only words. But Draco only shrugged.

"The callumroom was not touched during the war, so it as it was since day one,"Professor McGonagall said to them both."Well this is where I leave you, I strongly advise you to get some sleep."

"We will, thank you and good night,"hermione said to Professor McGonagall.

"Oh wait I almost forgot, here is your Headboy and headgirl badges," Professor McGonagall said while handing them their badges,"Oh and I will like to see you two become friends. It does not mean you have to be best friends, but I want you to be friends. Well good night."

She turned and walked out of the callumroom, leave hermione and Malfoy alone.

"Granger would you like to be my friend,"Malfoy said to hermione with both sarcasm and seriousness.

"Uhh, we'll do that tomorrow or never,"Hermione whispered the last part so he wouldn't hear.

"Sounds good to me," Malfoy said then wet up the stairs and disappeared into his room.

Hermione did the same.

Once she open her door, she expected something colorful. No, it was pitch black. She bumped into furniture on her way to her new bed, once she hit her pilot she we out like a light.

Tomorrow  will be a new day.
