As we rode through the landscape, the once lush forests and open grasslands were replaced with towering mountain passes, huge rocky sculptures that had been formed over many hundreds of years rose high above us. The points hanging over the narrow passage, like icicles, looking as if they were going to snap and fall upon us any moment, impaling us without us being able to move out of death's way.

"This looks like an ambush attackers passage" I said to Namasur who rode beside me.

"Yes, but it would be better to go this way than down the south road, bandits hunt along those roads, killing anyone and anything they can find, and they have wild animals locked up in cages, which they set free to tear apart their prey"

I laugh. "Namasur, I've handled more enemies than you can imagine, you could have told me before you decided to go this way"

Namasur closes his eyes and mutters some words. "I should have thought about that, shouldn't I?"

"Yes, but no matter now, we are almost out" I say as I can see the exit to the mountain pass.

As we ride forwards, I look to the opening and spot a carriage, wrecked and covered in ice. I ride closer and jump off Shadowmere to examine closer. I searched the scene only to find the skeletal remains of a horse and two humans, sprawled on the ground in half mortified positions. One of the skeletons had a hand extended towards a rock, where an iron sword lay next to it.

"Namasur, I think you need to take a look at this" I called to him. As he had ridden onwards, he turned around and got off Shadow, walking over with a smile.

"What is it?" He asks. I point to the carnage and frown.

"I know what did this" I said to Namasur. "Unless you want to become a frozen statue I suggest that we..."

I didn't get time to finish, for a loud crack could be heard above us. Just as I looked upwards, I saw a boulder coming crashing down towards us, and the flicker of a pair of white wings...

"Run!" I shouted to Namasur. We ran to our horses, mounting them as fast as possible, we galloped out of the passage, avoiding the rain of rocks that were falling from the cliff tops. Looking behind me, we just managed to escape with our lives, the rocks formed upon one another, piling up, smashing the skeletons and the carriage with it. As soon as we were out of harm's way, we stopped just outside the exit, looking back on the now blocked road.

"That was a close call" Namasur said to me. "I don't think that road will be of use anymore to the mortals, we must press onward"

Just as we were about to turn and head towards Solitude, a roar sounded above us. Turning to look at the source of the noise, I found out what it was. The creature had huge white wings, black veins coursing through them, it's body was made from snow coloured scales, completed with huge black spikes starting at it's head, working there way down it's back, finally finishing at it's tail. I knew that this creature was responsible for the deaths of the now buried bodies. It was a Frost Dragon, and it's small and piercing eyes were focused on us...

"Namasur, protect the horses, I'll handle this!" I shout towards him as I jump off Shadowmere, who stood ready to aid me in the fight.

The Frost Dragon spread his wings and flew into the air, letting out the loudest roar that he possibly could manage, announcing his presence, and challenge of battle. I hissed and waved my tail, I lowered my hood to give myself a better view. Making my ears stand on end, I could get a more accurate location of the sound of the Dragon, and where he would strike first. The Dragon made the first move, diving down towards me he let out a fierce shout, sending a ball of ice hurdling towards me. I dived to the right, letting the ice shatter on the wall behind me. Running forward onto a rock, I jumped upwards as the Dragon headed in my direction, raising my bow I took an arrow, aimed, and fired.

The arrow hurdled through the air at such a speed that I wasn't sure if i was going to hit my target. As the arrow got closer and closer I realized that it would hit with accurate precision. As the arrow embedded itself into the Dragons left eye. Letting out a pain filled roar the Dragon took a turn and dived onto the ground, I leaped out of the way and ran towards the Dragon, who was now trying to hit me with his tail. I dodged his few attacks and was about to pull out my dagger to finish him off, when the Dragon beat his wings and rose into the air once again. I realized that I would need more to finish this one off.

I put my bow onto my back, and raised my hands and curved them into a ball, summoning a Fireball in my hands. The Dragon turned around and once again breathed his chilling breath of frost upon me, I raised my hands and shot the Fireball at his attack. Hitting the frost and causing an explosion, sending fire and ice shooting in all directions. The Dragon, seeing that this wasn't going to help, flew to the ground and prepared to attack me with his wings. I charged up another Fireball and sent it flying into the Dragons face, causing flames to wrap themselves around his mouth, eyes and nose, burning his eyes and making him blind.

Shadowmere ran forwards and started to hit at him with his hoofs, causing a bloody mess. Taking my dagger out of my sheath I ran up towards the Dragon and climbed upon his head. He started to shake furiously, desperate to throw me off of him, but I held on tight, digging my claws and hooking them into his scales. I stood up and raised my dagger high into the air, about to bring it down into the Dragons skull, when the Dragon raised his head with a great force, sending me flying into the air. Still holding my dagger I knew that the Dragon had made a mistake, for as I came crashing down I used all my strength to plunge the dagger into the Dragons skull, making a loud crack and the Dragon give an ear-splitting shriek, before his body went limp and his voice became silent...
