Harkon looked up at me and smiled.
"Well then, we can begin" He said, looking at my form with interest. "I was surprised on how you managed to turn so quickly, as I said earlier, most die after my bite, or if they do survive, it takes them weeks to be able to learn how to transform" He said.
I nodded and uttered a low growl, it was strange, my body felt too big for me, and the wings felt... Rather odd. But this form... I felt... Power. More power than I could have dreamt about. I opened my hands and examined my claws, they were long, curved, and looked very deadly. Looking down I realised that I was hovering above the ground, a faint red mist emitted from under my webbed feet. I grinned and opened my palms fully, and un-knowingly of how I managed to do it, a faint red ball of magic appeared in my right hand, and another spell that was like blue fire appeared in my left.
"Woah" I uttered, looking at them with fascinated eyes, "What are these?" I asked. 'Even my voice sounds strange' I thought to myself, as it came out deep and with a growled tone.
Grinning, Harkon continued his speech.
"In this form, you will have the power to drain the life from your foes with your right hand. In your left hand, you can wield the power of blood magic to raise the dead. You can also call upon the powers of night to turn into a swarm of bats and reappear some distance away. Should you run out of magicka or the ability to cast spells, you can descend to the ground and fight as the beasts do. Do so now and we will continue" Harkon finished, leaning against the stone wall behind him.
Nodding I looked down and once again and concentrated, a key had unlocked another lock inside my mind, and I was able to turn off my power to levitate in the air. I landed on the ground with a soft thud, and I stood upright and turned to Harkon with a smile.
"Good" Harkon said before telling me more.
"You are weaker while on the ground, as you cannot access your blood magic, as those powers come with the ability that you use to levitate in the air. However, you can still access your night powers, and your claws are formidable weapons. Over time, all your abilities and powers will grow stronger, and you can find new ways to use your gift's. There is much to learn, but if you master the powers of the Vampire Lord, few enemies will be able to stand against you" Harkon finished, pushing himself off the wall and walking towards me.
"There is one last thing that I can teach you and you must know. Slaying mortal men with your life drain grants you new night powers and blood magic. I keep a stable of thralls in the Castle should you need to feed like the baser Vampires to starve off the sun. That is all I have to teach you, if you wish to be reminded of these lessons, you need only ask" Harkon finished, before walking down the stone stairs and to the doors of where he brought me through.
Seeing that it was time to leave, I began to walk towards the doors, but then decided to use one of my night powers. Concentrating, I was able to make parts of my body turn into bats, they took out parts of my body and began to have a life of their own, fluttering around me. When my entire body had been transformed into bats, I was able to see through one of the bats eyes that was near the top of the swarm. With a thrust of my body, all the other bats followed, and I was able to vanish for a split second before I was at the door, just before Harkon, where my body began to re-build itself.
"Well then, I have never seen anyone so eager" Harkon congratulated, reaching out and holding the door open for me.
"After you" He said, and nodding in reply I walked through, and Harkon followed.
As I went through the doors I realised that I was at the back of the Castle, as from here I could see the main court that I had first arrived in. My eyes scanned the Castle and I could see Serana sat in one of the chairs against the wall, drinking from a goblet that I could only presume wasn't wine.
"J'zargo?" I heard Harkon say from behind me, and I turned around to face him.
"Welcome to the Clan, consider us your family from here onward. Feel free to wander the Castle and do as you please, when you feel ready, I will have a task for you to test your powers, understood?" Harkon asked with a smile.
"I understand my Lord" I growled, once again seeming strange of how my voice had been altered.
"Haha, I like you, loyal and knows who to respect, you'll be a fine addition to the Castle, I trust that you won't disappoint" Harkon finished, before walking down the stone steps and into the court, of where he sat on his throne and overlooked the Castle.
"Don't worry, I won't" I growled, and with a thrust of my new wings, I began to glide over the floor. My new senses were overpowering, I could make out tiny details in people's faces and the surrounding walls and materials, hear every word and sound, I could even smell the scent of the mortals that Harkon had told me about. Grinning to myself, I decided to go and pay them a visit. I took a left through one of the doors in the east wing, and headed down into a fire brightened room.
Entering the rather spectral atmosphere of the place where the cattle were kept, I was greeted by a Vampire with a white Vampire Armour and pale skin, who's face was also rather ancient.
"You must be J'zargo, correct?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
I nod in reply and drop down onto the floor, of where I walked towards him. "Yes, who are you?" I asked.
"My name is Rargal, and I am the Thrallmaster and I oversee the castle in the keep, I presume that is why you are here?" He asked with a smile.
I grinned in reply and said "Yes, I could find them from their scent that trailed through the Castle" I said, "May I?" I asked, walking towards the cages down the steps.
"Go ahead" He said, raising his hand in the direction of the mortals.
I glide down the stone stairs and look around, humans, both female and male were kept in cages, they had a bed of hide to sleep on and wore ragged clothing. Most of them looked around in a dazed state, muttering words that made no sense and often groaning from the pain of whoever had fed from them before. With a smile I opened one of the cages that contained a female mortal. I dropped down onto the floor and approached her.
Taking her head in my claws and bringing my tattered wings around her body, I smiled, and without hesitation, I sank my fangs deep into her neck, and began to drink her blood...
