As I pulled the dagger from the Dragon's skull, I jumped down and headed to Namasur, who was waiting by the stone walls with Shadow. As I walked towards him I cleaned my dagger on my armour, creating a faint red stain, though it was hardly visible on the black material.
"Iv'e never seen anyone kill a Dragon before, I may even dare say that Harkon hasn't killed one" Namasur said to me in a faint whisper.
"That, Namasur, is because Harkon isn't what I am" I said, smiling.
Namasur looked at me with puzzled eyes, even more so as I headed back towards the Dragon. Putting my weapon away I knelt down by the Dragons head, gently resting my hand upon his face. Namasur walked closer, confused and intrigued. As I stroked the Dragons face, parts of his skin and scales started to glow and break apart, drifting off into the air like paper.
"What are you doing?" Namasur asked me, eyes wide. "What are you?".
I turned to face him as more of the Dragon's remains started to glow, I had my eyes closed, but my body started to be wrapped in a strange and un-familiar light. Still with my eyes closed, I spoke to him.
"I am the one of few, a being capable of killing a thousand men of a thousand armies, the shadow in every door, the nightmare in everyone's dreams. I have seen empires crumble and kings fall, Dragons captured and tamed, that is what I am, I am... The Dragonborn".
As I spoke those words the Dragon's skeleton burst into flames, scales and skin rose into the air, blazing parts of his body looking like torn bark as they set on fire in the pale sky. I open my eyes, now a bright orange light, like the sun. As the rest of the Dragons body burns up, a weave of purple, red, orange threads come towards me, embracing my body and covering me in a coloration of lights. This was the Dragon's soul, and now it was mine.
"Your... Your The Dragonborn?" Namasur asked as he stepped towards me.
"Yes" I said as the light faded and the Dragon's body was now a complete skeletal remain. "I am the one capable of killing these beautiful creatures, though I never want to"
"Why is that?" Namasur asks. "They are nothing but a blight, the return of The World Eater is the one who wants to destroy our lives as we know it!"
"Yes, but it is not their fault, they have to obey, less they become Alduin's next meal"
I walk to the Dragon, now lying on the dirt track, it's wings sprawled out, lifeless.
"But I reward those who have fought in battle, even if I was the one who defeated them" I continued saying to Namasur as I took my side by the Dragon once again.
I raised my hands into the air, both of them, side by side. Black flames conjured in my palms, darker than the night itself. Twisting my body I lowered the flames and swung them upwards again, so that the flames glowed brighter, then with a massive effort, I sent them smashing down onto the Dragon's skull. Nothing happened at first, the fire just hung there above it's skull, then they crept into the empty eye sockets of the Dragon, working there way down it's inner rib cage, finally nestling into it's chest. Those black flames joined together and attached itself to where the Dragon's heart would be.
I could see you watching what would happen, as you came closer to witness the power of my magic. The fire formed itself into a big, black, beating heart, pulsing faster and faster. Everytime it pulsed, it sent out smaller forms of itself, they travelled all over the Dragons body, eventually coating it's skeleton in a black cape. I stepped back, and you did the same, as the Dragons body began to grow black scales. It's wings formed, so did it's teeth, jaw, and finally eyes. The Dragon stood up, spread it's new found wings, and roared into the sky, blocking out the last of the light as it disappeared back into the clouds.
It turned it's head to the side, and looked down upon us, it's blood red eyes looking into mine. Dropping down onto it's wings, it walked towards me, and bowed it's head.
"Drem yol lok, greetings" The Dragon said to me.
I walked forward and gently tickled the beast under it's chin, smiling as I did so. Namasur watched from a distance, his mouth open in shock.
"Now, a name for you I would think, a unique name" I said to the Dark Dragon, who looked at me with those eyes of his, that held so much potential.
"You are Dovahkiin, Dragonborn" The Dragon said to me, flicking his spiky black tail.
"Yes, I am the one who has given you a new life, but in return, zill gro dovah ulse, your soul is bound to me for eternity"
The Dragon nods in reply. He was more than thankful for me bringing him back to life. The Dragon licks my neck gently.
"What should I be called Dovahkiin?" The Dragons asks, spreading his wings.
I think for a moment or two, considering the names of the Dragons in this land, in the end, I settle upon a traditional choice for a name of a Dragon.
"I shall name you, Vuldinokdov, it means dark death dragon in our language"
The Dragon bows in respect. "Thank you kaaz, Khajiit" Vuldinokdov says, before beating his wings and flying into the sky. He hovers and turns to look at me.
"Call my name, when you need me, until then, farewell J'zargo" He says before giving out a roar and flying into the distance, his huge blackened form seeming like a beacon in the grey sky.
I turn to face Namasur, who sat upon the ground, shadow gently eating his hair.
"How the hell... What..." Was all he could say to me. I grin and place my hand upon his shoulder.
"Trust me, you haven't seen anything yet" I grin, my blood red eyes flashing in the pale light, as if behind them, a fire was to be seen, and more secrets to be found...
