Simon traced his fingers over my body as I laid underneath him completely undressed. I loved when he gave it too me fast and hard, but my favourite was when everything was slow and gentle with each touch and sensation being felt. Right as things were about to get really intense an overwhelming urge to throw up came over me. I pushed Simon off of me and ran to the bathroom. 'Are you okay?' He asked putting a cool cloth on the back of my neck. 'I think it was just the food from earlier.' I said hoping that was what it really was and not what I was thinking in the back of my mind. About ten minutes later I was finally able to stand up without feeling unbelievably sick. 'Come on babe, let's finish.' I told Simon grabbing his hand. 'Adele, no. You're sick and as much as I want to right now you need to get better.' For the first time I think I was more upset at the idea of us not having sex than he was. 'Simon...' I protested walking over to the bed where he was waiting for me to lay down. 'Once you're better I promise I will blow your mind.' He placed a kiss on the top of my head. 'I'll go fix you some tea.'

Within the five minutes he was downstairs I had to run to the toilet twice. I slowly started to doubt that I had eaten bad food. I picked up my phone and texted Laura. 'I need you to come over!! URGENT!!!' After it sent I went to the kitchen to talk to Simon. 'Babe, can you go to the market and get some of that soup I like.' I asked already knowing what he would say. 'But it's only at the one that's twenty minutes from here. I don't want to leave you alone for that long.' He gave me a sincere look of sympathy. 'I'll be fine. I have Jack to keep me company.' Simon finally agreed to go and a few minutes after he left Laura arrived. 'What's wrong?' She asked when she saw me standing by the front door waiting on her. 'We need to go to the pharmacy. Like now.' I said grabbing my purse off of the table in the foyer. 'For what?' She asked giving me a questioning look. 'I'm sick' I whispered barely loud enough for her to hear me. 'Okay so why did I need to take you and not Simon?' I could tell she was confused but I was so afraid that if I actually said the words it would be true. 'Please, Laura. Just trust me okay.' I said giving her a reassuring look as she started her car.

Laura pulled into the pharmacy parking lot but I made her wait in the car while I went inside. 'It'll only take a minute.' I said getting out of the car. I rushed in, got what I needed, and ran straight back to Laura's car. 'Adele, please tell me what is going on. Did you just buy what I think you did?' She asked with a smile on her face. I shrugged not wanting to tell her. 'If I say it then that makes it real and I don't know if I'm ready for that, Laur. I don't know if I am.' When we got back to Simon's house he still wasn't home so after I said goodbye to Laura I went inside and sat on the sofa waiting for him. 'I'm back.' He informed me walking into the living room. 'Thanks babe. Can you fix me a bowl, please?' I asked. I had the shopping bag stuffed into my purse but couldn't decided what to do with it. 'So do you think you will be well enough for moving tomorrow?' Simon asked handing me the bowl of soup. 'I should.' I responded eating a spoonful. Once I finished the soup I asked Simon to take Jack out for his walk. We usually did a ten minute walk around the park so I knew with him out of the house I would have plenty of time to take care what I needed too.

I waited for a few minutes after Simon left and then I grabbed my purse off of the sofa and ran upstairs to Simon's bathroom, closing the door behind me. 'Just breathe, Adele. Maybe it's just a false alarm and you have food poising instead.' I told myself as I looked in the mirror. My face was sunken in from throwing up so much. My hair was disheveled and thrown into a messy bun. I looked like death and it wasn't even Halloween. I pulled the bag out of my purse and set it on the counter. I starred at it for what seemed like forever till I finally found the courage to open it. 'Adele, I'm back. Where are you?' I heard Simon yell from downstairs. 'I'll be right down.' I shouted. Shit, I thought I had more time. I stuffed everything back into the bag and hid it underneath the sink on my side of the bathroom counter. I met Simon in the living room where were he was flipping through the channels. 'You alright?' He asked not taking his eyes off of the tv. 'Feeling much better.' I lied.

Hours passed and Simon had finally fallen asleep around midnight. Now was my only chance. I quietly got out of bed and went into the bathroom, opened the cabinet to retrieve the bag and sat on the floor. What was inside of the bag could drastically change my life forever and as thrilling as it sounds when Simon and I have conversations about one day having a baby, the thought of it happening right now was daunting. I was so nervous my hands started to shake and I was fighting the urge to cry. I took the box out of the bag and opened it as slowly as I could. I followed the instructions and laid on the bathroom floor waiting for the three minutes to be up.
