'Babe? Where are you?' I called when I walked into Simon's house. 'In my room. I have a surprise for you.' He responded. I entered his bedroom to find it completely lit with candles, rose petals covering the bed, soft music playing in the background, and a bottle of wine on the nightstand. 'What's this for?' I asked making my way over to Simon, who was on the other side of the room. 'I just wanted to show you how much I appreciate everything you do for everyone in your life not just me. And I wanted to ask you a question.' A look of complete shock covered my face and I could feel my eyes filling with tears. 'Here.' He said handing me a tiny wrapped box. We had only been together a month so I knew it wasn't a ring but had no idea what else it could be. Inside the box was a key. 'Will you move in with me? I've bought us a house.' A hand flew to my mouth as I stood there utterly surprised. 'Yes! Of course, yes!' I threw my arms around his neck and hugged him like I never have before. 'I also want to ask you another question.' This one I could tell was a bit more serious than the one he just asked. 'Okay.' I said sitting on the sofa at the end of his bed. 'I'm picking up Scarlett tomorrow and I want you to be here when I get back.' My eyes met his and I could see how nervous his whole body became. 'You're ready for me to meet her?' I responded. He took my hand and gently kissed it. 'It's time. Plus it'd be a bit awkward if we moved in together and you two didn't know each other.' He said letting out a soft laugh. 'Tomorrow it is.' I said getting up and placing my lips on his. 'I can't believe you did all of this, Simon. You're too good to me.' I laid my head against his and closed my eyes to take in the moment.
After a few moments Simon suggested we should order take out for dinner. 'Let's get Chinese and then I'll give you some dessert.' He said winking at me. I let out a roaring laugh that had both of us laughing until we were crying. 'Sometimes I don't know why you love me.' I gushed trying to get myself together. 'Maybe I'll show you later.' Simon replied raising his eyebrows and giving me a seductive smile. 'Stop it.' I said playfully hitting his arm. We placed our dinner order and then decided to watch a documentary on exotic animals in the wild. 'That would be amazing to experience something like that.' I told Simon when they showed a segment on a kind of fish off of the coast of Hawaii. 'I'll keep that in mind.' He responded brushing my hair off of my face. 'Do you think Scarlett would like it there?' I asked turning to face him. 'She would love it. Her mom takes her to Fiji for two weeks every summer, so I know she would love Hawaii.' I loved how anytime his daughter is brought up his face lights up differently than anything else he talks about. 'One day we should go for a family vacation.' I suggested as I settled back into his embrace. 'Defiantly.' He said kissing the top of my head. 'Defiantly.' Right as the show ended the doorbell rang and Simon went to collect our food.
Once we finished eating I started cleaning up and rinsing off the plates in the sink before placing them in the dishwasher. Not noticing that Simon came into the room, I felt his arms wrap around me and his lips against my neck. 'I'm busy.' I said trying not to let him distract me. But he didn't listen. 'We can clean up later. Let's go upstairs.' He said reaching in front of me and taking a plate and the sponge out of my hands. 'You can't resist me.' Simon said guiding me out of the kitchen. 'I love you.' He whispered in my ear as we walked up the stairs. I instantly started to blush and pulled his arms tighter around me. 'long time, baby.' I said turning around to face him when we went into his room. Our faces were now only inches apart. He put his hands on my either side of my hips and I bit my lip waiting for him to kiss me but he was taking to long so I grabbed the collar of his shirt to pull his lips to mine. Even when he's old with no teeth and covered in wrinkles, his lips are the only ones I'll ever want to kiss. With our lips still attached Simon pushed me towards the bed and steadied himself on his elbows as he laid over me. Our clothes eventually found their way onto the floor leaving both of us bare. 'You're so beautiful. And amazing. And heavenly. And angelic. And remarkable.' Simon said between kisses he was leaving all over my body. 'You drive me wild all the time.' He continued before finally giving me what we both wanted. 'It's my turn to appreciate you.' I said reversing positions. 'You, Simon, are the....most...extraordinarily...man...I've...ever....
known.' I told him trailing my lips over every inch of his body. He grew impatient at my teasing and flipped me under him. Within seconds he had my back arching off of the bed and my knuckles white from gripping the sheets. Sweat dripped off of us as we laid side by side starring at each other after earth shattering waves overcame both of our bodies. 'You're the only one I would smell like a flower for.' Simon said brushing the rest of the rose petals off of the bed. 'I really don't deserve you. I'll never know how I ended up with someone like you.' I said cupping the side off his face that wasn't on the pillow in my hand. 'I'm the one that doesn't deserve you, Adele. You're in your twenties with a man who has a kid, which in itself brings responsibilities that you shouldn't have to deal with. You should be out living life and being reckless while you can, not being tied down. I love you more than you could ever imagine but sometimes I worry that it'll be too much for you to handle. I just don't want to screw it up because your it for me. I wanna grow old with you, watch you become a mother, and go through the ups and downs of life with you.' Tears slowly fell down his cheeks and I brushed my thumb over his face to clear them. 'I'm all in, Simon. The good, the bad, the ugly, the fights, everything. I'm a million times in this till the end. Nobody said it would be easy navigating a relationship like this but I wouldn't commit to you and meet your daughter if I had any doubts. You're my everything and someone I'll forever be grateful for. I'm never going anywhere. You're stuck with me, dude.'
