Chapter 17: Playing With Fire, Will Get You Burn

*Roku's POV*

It was late at night and I couldn't sleep anymore. I looked next to me to see that Chris was out cold yet. He's been stressing, I know. Though his hand was moving a bit, I notice this happen when he talked to Delsin in his dreams. I don't know why but I really didn't care for Delsin. I know he was my great grandmother's lover, but he pulled Chris into this war now. He pulled all of us into this war. We attack and killed one of Vincent's friends, family of the group. He was going to get back at us, I didn't know how. I got out of bed and went to the bathroom to hide in there known that no one would come into the bathroom when the door was shut. I called Cambria and I told her everything that was going on.

"I don't know what to do anymore. If we don't stay ahead of them, then what are we going to do? I need everyone to work things out. Maybe I should have you pick me up. I mean I know I'm here for my own protection, no one is dumb enough to mess with a house full of vampires. But I need to do something. Killing Kaila like we did. Vincent is going to start coming up with more things. What if you or someone gets hurt?" I was really upset. I know vampires like Vincent, when you hurt someone close to them, they start playing games. "Hold on, I'm getting a call from Wyatt." I put Cambria on hold before answering Wyatt's call. "Hello?"

"Roku, something is wrong, I went over to Caiden's house and no one here, there is fucking blood everywhere and I don't know what to do. All I found was a note that said, 'tell the vamps and the hunter girl, the games start now'. What the fuck did them guys do? Why would this person come after Caiden???" Wyatt was worry and I felt sick.

"They knew, they fucking knew he was one of the closes people to me. I need to warn Cambria and Chloe. Wyatt, get home and lock your door. It's that Vincent vampire. We killed the one girl. She killed Mrs. Gam and took over her body so that she could get closer to me and Chris because of the legend, you know that. Get home and lock down the house. Call everyone. I have Cambria on the other line." He told me okay and hang up. I switch back to Cambria. "They have Caiden, they attacked him in his own house. I need to go wake up the guys. He wants to play a game and if we don't Caiden is as good as dead. You need to lock down your house. Don't let anyone in." I waited for her to tell me okay before saying my goodbyes and hanging up. I went to walk out of the bathroom and walked right into Chris's chest and just looked up at him. I couldn't help but start crying. Why Caiden? He wasn't a fighter. He was a sweet kid, halfling that was gay and had his vampire boyfriend. I really hope he was okay.

"Roku, what's wrong?" Before I could answer him. Andy showed up and when just looking at me. I think he sensed Chris worrying, came to see what happen and now he was looking through my mind, seeing what I know. "Andy?"

"Vincent attack, he went after that kid Roku's friends with. Caiden, which means he has the kid and he's going to play a game. You know what this game is...." He just looked at Chris and he nodded. He just hold me tighter in his arms. "I'm going to call him see what he wants and we will play this game. But we should see if anyone else is missing. Caiden can't be the only one...." Andy walked off to wake up the others. Chris and I worked on calling my friends and we all agree to meet at the park. I know they would get our message and whoever don't show. Well they are with Caiden or somewhere.

*Few Hours Later*

We walked to the park and I was sitting with Cambria and Chris. Everyone was there but Chloe, Caiden, Julia, Lydia, Ella and Kaia. Alice ran up to Jinxx and just hugged him crying. She looked scared and beat up and we wonder what happen. "Someone broke into Ella's house and took her!" We just all looked at Jake and we knew that wasn't easy for him. Even Ashley wasn't calm because Chloe wasn't there. I see they grabbed more then I thought they would.
