He pulled into the driveway of his house and shut off the car. We both got out and walked to the middle of the lawn. It was pitch black outside and slightly chilly.

"Are you gonna walk home?" He asks

"Yeah" I reply and nod my head

"Can I walk you?" He asks looking at the floor

"You don't need to do that" I say turning around

"I want to" I hear him say

"Are you sure?" I ask

"Yeah" he nods

"Okay" I say and he walks up to me

We started walking down the sidewalk towards my house.

"Soo.....how have you been?" He asks, breaking the silence

"I don't know...ok I guess" I sigh

"You guys don't hate me do you?" He asks with a sad look on his face

"No, we could never hate you Tanner" I bump his shoulder and smile

"are you sure?" He asks with his face still frowning

"Yeah. We just want to know why you left" I say

"I promise I'll tell you just not right now" he replies

"When?" I ask

"Soon. I promise" he says and rubs his thumb against my shoulder

"Okay" I sigh

We got back to my house and I stood at the end of the driveway with tanner.

"So....um...I'll see you later then?" He states but it came out as more of a question

"Yeah" I smiled

"I had fun today. I missed you" he hugged me

"I did too" I say and wrap my arms around him. I've missed this...

"It's Friday right?" He asks

"Yeah. Why?" I ask

"Just wondering" he replies

"Oh ok" I say confused. He definitely looked like he was up to something

"I guess I better go" he sighs

"Okay" I sigh as well

"Bye" he waves and begins to walk down the street

"Bye" I waved back then went inside

When I went inside my dog ran up to me and it caused a small smile to form.

"Hi benny" I say and hug him

I ran up to my room with benny following close behind me. When I got to my room, I laid on the bed. I quickly checked the time. 11:38pm. We were gone that long?

I took off my shirt and put on a baggy t shirt I got from Tanner a long time ago. Then I took off my jeans and put on some shorts. I crawled into bed and drifted off to sleep.

Nicks POV

I was sitting on the couch and I heard a knock at the door. It's almost midnight, who could it be? I stood up and opened it.

"Tanner?" I ask surprised

"Hey nick" he sighs

"Umm...what are you doing here?" I ask

"I'm here because we need to talk. I need to tell you why I left" he looked at me concerned

I step away from the door to make room for him to come in then close the door.
