Tanner's POV

I woke up without Skylar by my side. This is the saddest part of my day. We missed quite a bit of school after winter break but we went back and now we have a bunch of assignments to catch up on. She's been working all week trying to get caught up, and not trying to sound selfish but she has had no time for me. I haven't seen her at all this week at school when we quickly flash a smile in the halls. We talk on the phone but not as much as I want to.

I took a quick shower and went in my room to get dressed. I decided to wear a black t-shirt and some ripped jeans with white vans. I walked into the bathroom again and looked in the mirror, I want to leave my hair down cause I'm too lazy to do it but I should do it since it looks really crappy.

I walked out the door and into my got into my GTR.

I quickly pulled out my phone to message Skylar.

T: hey babe, you still at home?

I waited a few minutes to see if I got a reply but I didn't. Eventually I decided to call her. As soon as I hit the call button, I put my phone up to my ear. It rang a few times but she picked up after it almost went to voicemail

"Hello?"

"Hey baby, did you get my message?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Why didn't you reply then?"

"I'm not going to school today"

"I'm not either that's why I was gonna come over but I didn't know if you were still at home"

"Well, I am"

"Can I come over then? We don't get to spend much time with each other anymore"

"Sure"

"Ok, I'll see you in a bit. I love you"

"I love you too"

"Bye"

"Bye"

I put my phone back in my pocket and drove to Skylar's house but not before stopping to get her breakfast.

"I'm here!" I yelled opening the door and stepping inside

I ran up to her room to see her sitting on her bed almost in tears.

I set the food down on the dresser and sat next to her.

"What's wrong sky?"

"We need to talk"
