Tanner's POV
"Jacob!! Wake up!!" I screamed as we stood at the foot of his bed
"What?" He mumbled shoving his face even deeper into the pillow
"Wake up" I replied throwing a pillow at him
"It's too early" he said grabbing his phone and checking the time
"No it's not"
He sighed loudly, purposefully trying to let us know that he wasn't happy about getting up
"What are you doing here anyway tan- who's this?"
"This is Skylar.....she's my girlfriend"
"Great, now I'm single by myself"
"Sorry" I said laughing
"I'm just kidding, it's nice to meet you Skylar" he said smiling and reaching his hand out
"You too Jacob"
"Well, I guess I'll go get ready"
"Hurry cause I'm craving IHOP"
"You're buying"
"Okay"

I sat in the passenger seat and stared out the window as we drove through the dry empty desert. I looked up as the sun slowly disappeared behind the mountain. I rolled the window down and the fresh air blew into my face. I smiled at the thought, it's nice to get away from the city, to get away from everything. We didn't even stay at jacob's for long, it was only about two or three hours. I wanted to get away with Skylar, just me and her. But we took Jacob with us because we want to be with our friends as well. We don't know how long we'll be gone, but I know that we have a long drive ahead of us. We're going on a camping trip and jake, Bradley, and maverick along with lance and lizzy are coming as well. They should only be an hour or so behind.
We NEED this, we need time with our friends and I need time with Skylar. Especially after the whole thing that went on between Skylar and I.
